This is the audio, from a video, that I put together while Covid-19 social distancing restrictions were in place in the UK. The idea was to gather musicians together to create a virtual big band and play a tune I have long wanted to play live. This is the result: Maynard Ferguson's version of "Birdland".

Considering many musicians did not have recording equipment, and were using mobiles, I couldn't be happier with the result.

The fabulous Janine Gastineau (all the way from Colorado) on vocals, backed by Dick Playfair on trumpet, Graeme Anthony on clarinet, Ulrik Dal Pedersen on tuba and Violet and Kenny Milne on piano and kit.

This is the first of a few tunes I have put together, with an assortment of musicians with nowt much else to do right now. Some of them have never met and are playing together for the first time, virtually. This is my first attempt at a lead vocal and it was a lot of fun!
