The first single ‘Outbound’ by English songwriter and collaborator Busun and the exceptional Crystal Hawes is out now and is taken from the upcoming debut album ‘Morning Shadows'.

Busun aims for impact and feel, crossing genre lines fusing lo-fi, 808 and hip-hop inspired electronic sounds and beats, with purposely crafted tones and playful blues, pop and jazz inspired lead, rhythm and bass guitars.

Outbound

Real Rich' is my 4th single under the name Busun (boo-sun) and taken from my upcoming debut album. This time working with vocalist Liam Reeves who I spent time with in band A World Defined as we did tours across the UK.

Real Rich was actually the 1st track I wrote when starting Busun, so now it's being released it feels like it has a nice rawness and natural feel. Real Rich is about not getting lost in the rat race, not just living your life to the script society puts your way and understanding that there's a world out there and that being real rich is more than just money or job title.

With an appreciation for a wide collection of music that ranges from indie and hip-hop, to techno, pop and blues, Busun is inspired by artists that create moods and cross genre stereotypes such as Frank Ocean, LEISURE, Tom Misch, Kota the Friend and Tora - Busun targets the same, to create music that has feel, chill, hooks and groove.
 
What started from home during lockdown has since grown to become a soon-to-be released album, made up of a combination of instrumental and vocal-based tracks written and recorded through 2020 and 2021 in collaboration with a selection of vocalists.
