Looking to try more new ideas I was playing around with a funky beat called “UK Pop”, it’s rather fast and punchy. I had no idea what could work here, but I figured it would have to be something different from what I’ve tried before. So bit by bit I came up with a 4 chord progression I’ve never used before that seemed to work, broke it up into pieces and played it using a Clavichord sound, two handed to get a combination of rhythm and leads then added some trumpet for more leads. This came out pretty good, but this still needed something more, like some crazy guitar. I wasn’t sure of this either so I messed around with sounds, distortion, reverb, etc... and as I started to put something together a thought occurred to me play it like ZZ Top would, but try to be a bit crazy like Hendrix (of course I know nothing about either) But what the heck, the inspiration for the guitar became Jimmy Hendrix as a member of ZZ Top. UK Pop Style

ALTunes studio received an upgrade this year with an addition of new drum machine Spark LE by Arturia Musical Instruments. This is a really cool sound design and sequencing tool. I didn’t have time to learn how to create my own beats yet, but it came with lots of pre-made ones so I’m starting out by using a few to create some new stuff. The beat for this is called Deep Lab 5, sounded to me like I could put Hava Nagila over that. So I added bass, melody line, some clarinet, some strings, a little bit of voices and some guitar to round it out and there you have, Hava Nagila House style. Hope you like it!

Had this song stuck in my head, "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley. Incase you're not familiar he chorus is "Don't worry, About a thing, Cause every little thing gonna be all right" Seems just right for the current situation we find ourselves in. So decided to see if I could learn it and put together my own spin on it. Used a reggae back beat, sped up a tad with piano doing most of the work, steel drums and guitar for filler. Hope you like it!
