aLex vs aLex — aka Sofia Insua – born and raised in Guatemala, currently based in between NYC + Berlin, is a singer / composer / artistic researcher / actor
in search of connections between emotional portrayal, physicality and sound. 

aLex vs aLex is Insua’s way of diverging from other on-going music projects, Easy Easy (2017 - present) and ERA C (2020 - present) for which she’s lead vocalist + composer and are all part of her identity.

aLex vs aLex is the result of various artistic visions; a bleed through of styles and skill sets acquired from Insua’s parallel endeavors. 
Empowered by the collaborative sentiment of the people that have surrounded her throughout her trajectory, she’s venturing into a sonic exploration of self with her solo project.

this second aLex vs aLex singLe set to release on 04.04.24 features fellow Guatemalan indie-singer Tita. 
a seamless collaboration between their two gentle but profound voices….on a chill R&B beat, going back and forth between English and Spanish as it evolves and takes you on an upbeat ride with a trippy outro, and a 90’s inspired hook that professes “te quiero y nadie lo saBe” = >> i love you, and nobody knows it.

as a follow up to her first singLe ‘see me 4 the first time’, Insua worked on this track ‘nadie lo saBe ft. Tita’ with Easy Easy bandmate and producer, Bumont. all part of the debut project’s upcoming EP.

This pop rework of NYC based Guatemalan artist aLex vs aLex’s debut single “see me 4 the first time” is the result of a collaboration with Madrid based TURIAN BOY. Establishing yet another international conversation through music, this was an open invitation to the guest producer to reimagine an already emotional love song and rebrand it as a more classic pop ballad. His take on what makes the alt-pop project ethereal proves that remixes can strip back a song and showcase its essence.
