Paris-based producer KX9000 (Kerim Ben Mustapha) crafts a vibrant fusion of electro-funk, space disco, jazz, and house. With roots in jazz-funk bands and a background in sound engineering, he brings a DIY, hands-on ethos to his music. His EPs on labels like Pont Neuf Records, LW Recordings or Apparel Music showcase a playful yet meticulous style - where vintage synths, live instruments, and city-pop textures meet club-ready grooves. Collaborations with Nic Hanson, Corsica One, and others enrich his soulful, eclectic sound. A staple of Paris clubs and European festivals, KX9000 draws inspiration from icons like Dexter Wansel and blends spontaneous jamming with refined production. His latest work, Dream Log, evokes both movement and introspection - perfect for late-night drives or packed dancefloors. A true “alchemist” of the modern French electronic scene.
