Alexa Dae is a session singer living in New York City, who has sung on a range of commercial and independent projects. She comes from a family of musicians, going back several generations, and has loved singing for as long as she can remember. 

Alexa got her professional start playing in bands in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she moved at age 19. She sang in the Serge Gainsbourg-inspired French pop band, La Lacque (lyrics en francais), and was the lead singer in the home-grown power pop Brooklyn group, Enemies. 

Alexa's sound is incredibly versatile. While her indie roots have shaped her vocal style, she is comfortable singing across a range of genres, from country to hip hop. Alexa admires a strong, female vocalist, and counts Fiona Apple, Lucinda Williams, Metric, and Portishead, among her favorites. She also happens to have an uncanny knack for remembering rap lyrics.

In addition to session singing, Alexa is currently writing and recording for a new project and collaboration called Karana.
