Categories is a sequence of nightmares interpreted into music through Alexa Dexa's aleatoric process of letter categorization. Each vowel and common consonants R, L, S, T, N were assigned a note. Every letter without a note was assigned a rest. All letters were treated as one quarter note. Using a grid, each concise nightmare telling was translated into a melody. Perhaps people aren’t meant to fully remember nightmares. Maybe forgetting is more humane.
