For the 7 the pianoworld recital, and almost 2 years since I started piano  I play this very simple piece played on the Upright piano by native instruments, the Gentleman. with a bit of pad shop pro for added effect.

Not much playing time the last two months. On the plus side, finished my nicely redecorated piano room in that time. so I'll have more time for playing again and will better prepared next time. 

I've been working on a number of Einaudi pieces and some new compositions of my own plus some method books and other pieces, but felt none were quite ready after the recording button said all was said and done. Then, the fun started. Just a day to spare I thought why not do something very simple and visit one of the earliest pieces I learned shortly after I started, in the stable of pieces I can fall back on if all else fails :D I simply wouldn't want to miss another recital and keep up the tradition.

This is one for the hankies, I am not much of TV person but the Lost series I watched religiously and this is a melody often found throughout the series.

I added a synthpad I made based on the Padshop Pro synthesizer for added effect. 

For Lost fans the sound effects reminded me of the black smoke monster trapped inside the piano, which is an old battered upright piano sound in this recording. IMHO just right for the theme and sort of sounds heard in soundtrack. A few old battered uprights featured in the series I recall. Lets face it, an island that keeps shifting through space and time, Steinway would have had a few delivery problems :D

On June 2017,  the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) hosted three orchestral concerts called Galaxymphony which included some of the soundtrack from various space and sci-fi movies. This is their version of some of the Interstellar soundtrack.

The concert was hosted by Jakob Stegelmann and conducted by *Antony Hermus* (NOT Rory MacDonald - sorry for the mistake. This will be changed in upcoming videos!). The performance was orchestrated by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra with help from the 'Camerata' and 'Hymnia' choirs.

The original soundtrack of Interstellar was scored by Hans Zimmer.

Lucrezia Donati

I started the piano in the last week of May 2014. Everything on here  will be just that, some of my performances.  I played some other instruments like the recorder when younger as a child where I had lessons,  and a bit of casual self taught guitar age 17-23 or so,  so I thought it was about time in my older years to start piano at the age of 47, after a break of 20 years or more it is never too late ( I hope ).  

I am self teaching at the moment but hope to get a teacher and lessons at some point.  At the moment it is .... I'll see how it goes by my lonesome :)
