Cititrax: Tracks Volume Two features the fearless and ultra-talented Chinese producer Tzusing, the raw avant-garde electronics of London based producer L/F/D/M, creative West Coast powerhouse Silent Servant, and prolific underground French producer Maelstrom. The overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. Each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. 
Artwork designed by Veronica Vasicka and sourced from Polaroids shot in NYC clubs in the 1980s, Cititrax: Tracks Volume Two is pressed on blood red clear vinyl – limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve. With releases for Digital Soundboy, Love & Other and This Ain’t Bristol under his belt (the latter reaching #1 on the Beatport chart) and more as his drum and bass alias Kindred, not to mention celebrated production work for the likes of Little Simz and Meridian Dan, Jakwob might just be one of the most prolific producers in the UK. Now he’s back with something a little different: a brand new EP for Twin Turbo, the all-digital all-banger offshoot of Tiga’s Turbo Recordings. ‘Feel So Good’ is set for release on 1st July 2016, mastered by none other than Turbo stalwart and Bavaria’s finest Zombie Nation.

‘Feel So Good’ is a pneumatic stomper with irresistible synth flourishes and skittering hi hats that sees Jakwob crash head first into full-on peak time dancefloor territory. You can see why the track blew up at Miami this year having been handed to a select handful of DJs, and why Jakwob aka James Jacob can count Diplo, Todd Edwards, Skrillex, Busy P, Sinden, Claude Von Stroke and Justin Martin amongst his growing number of fans.

The EP also sees Jakwob revisit his recent collaboration with enigmatic London beatmaker HiFe on the rolling ‘Excuse Me’, with the pair having previously worked together on ‘People Walk’ for Love & Other. Icy, atmospheric banger ‘Skup’ and an extended acid remix from Dutch newcomer and Turbo’s newest signing TRACE7000 completes the four-track package.

Speaking about the release, Turbo don Tiga commented, “Feel So Good has been one of the biggest tracks for me over the past few months, and the TRACE7000 is actually my favorite record of the moment. Vintage Turbo party bombs.”

Throughout his catalogue, the Belgian born and Berlin based producer has melded rich atmospherics with potent drums and infectious vocal samples and this - his ‘Crystal Seed’ EP is one fans both old and new will relish. 

The title track kicks things off with warped, tubular bass tone set tumbling under brash hats and a piercing clap. Nifty drum fills punctuate progress as filters drive towards a rapturous crescendo before ‘Follow Me’ sets pitched vocals and scattered 808 hats off to a menacing march. Drums are given a distinct Turbo feel as they’re deftly flanged and overdriven and set atop a swelling bass groove that rolls until the close of another fine addition to the Twin Turbo catalogue.

Tiga readies the next EP on Twin Turbo and in doing so exultantly welcomes Belfast’s Jordan into the fold.

Having released records on Extended Play, Made Fresh Daily and Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company - Jordan joins the Turbo ranks with ‘Coup De Grace’: a classically minded 3-tracker that comes inclusive of a remix from Leeds producer Zia.

Jordan has been instrumental in propelling Northern Ireland’s blossoming Electronic music scene through promotion and DJing and is certainly no stranger to big crowds. Over a decade of experience behind the decks supporting the likes of Carl Craig, Paul Woolford and Ryan Elliot is certainly translated into his productions as ‘Coup De Grace’ shines with capacious synths and long, fervent breakdowns that remain propelled by his neatly structured grooves.

The title track kicks off with a bold, thudding drums that immediately sit it comfortably with Twin Turbo. Swooning synth lines are pitted against rattling percussion before Pleasure Centre lays out a hypnotic and tightly wound tone throughout. Zia then galvanises the title track and drives overdriven drums through sweeping synths that cap off another coup for Twin Turbo.
