Wolf Music, the seasoned house music appreciators, are back on the gas pedal again. With Ishmael and Black Fan showing face on April's white label and Frits Wentink's Rarely Pure, Never Simple album a month before, they prep their next course. Wolf grad, Medlar, makes a colourful return to the fore with WOLFEP030 — a first project since his debut album, Sleep.

Flakes of jazz are kneaded in at different points throughout; a dribble of sax here, piano runs galore elsewhere ("Dawn Chorus"). Yet it's "Paradise" and it's alluringly cyclical drive that makes it first pick. A truly harmonious affair: yearning string solos, trundling conga/bongos underfoot and even birdsong at the tail end. The video is just as blissful in all its black and white, zoological glory.

Just as Mother Nature would have wanted it. Out on 5th October 2015.

Medlar "Paradise" - Boiler Room Debuts

Futureboogie release PBR Streetgang’s ’12.32’ on 4th July, and the two-tracker is backed with a deliriously good remix by London-born producer Fort Romeau.

The rework takes the original version’s swirling acid licks, gnarly basslines and pumping drums and, whilst keeping the pace and mood pumping, remodels the melody, sending things on a deeper, more cosmically energised trip.

Do yourself a favour and dance across the floor when listening to the new Jacob Korn-record, aptly titled Son Of GX. The music is heavily based on the good old Yamaha Electone Organ. The home organ for the world’s gentlemen was modified by Jacob himself and is now an integral part of his studio. As you’ll hear it on the EP, it injects a decent dose of fun into Jacob’s vision of House music.
