Known for his 13-minute remixes, ambient SoundCloud sleep aids, and globally-hyperconscious DJ sets, Australian wizard DREEMS joins life partner Von Party on the title track, smelting 303, dessert drones and bells in his Australian wizard’s cauldron. 

“Kamp Krusty,” meanwhile, is a collaboration with Lithuanian-Israeli nomad DJ OI that features a fat brown-snake bass line, the ambulant percussion and bleeps scatter over the groove. Dope. Bats. Oi !

Things get deeper on “That Acid From Nimbim,” as “random hippie friend” Luka provides a vocal that channels Francis Bebey via the Northern NSW coast. 

“Bilbio Bush Baby” sees DREEMS re-team with Jagma - a pairing not seen since the very first Multi Culti release - for a mate-a-thon that races past the horizon and directly into the Sydney sunset. 

Finally, Argentinean excursionist LUM offers a tranquil, early-morning rework of “Kamp Krusty” that envisions a possible future beyond the fiery culmination of the aforementioned break-of-dawn mate-a-thon.

Italian imprint Nothing Is Real, has a new seven-track compilation showcasing some of the best up-and-coming artists involved with the label. This release marks a celebration of the second year of Nothing Is Real and of their steady rise as one of the most exciting new labels on the scene. 

This project has been painstakingly curated by Modular Project, the techno production duo responsible for the label. A core tenet of the label is their synth-driven, forward-thinking, emotional music, which merge the genres of techno, indie, electronica and 80s New Wave.

The release is opened by Modular Project themselves with ‘Nothing Is Real’, which begins as a minimal and ethereal introduction to the project that offsets a driven techno beat with playful retro synthscapes, creating a suspenseful and uplifting killer of a track.

PREMIERE - Modular Project - Nothing Is Real (Nothing is Real)

Brainchild of Multi Culti A&R, Sascha Funke and Niklas Wandt were introduced by Dreems, who charted a course for the seasoned Berlin-based producer and funky multi-percussionist and singer. 

Wandt was just about to enter the scene forcefully with his collaborative 2LP with Wolf Müller and the debut single of his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icey cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, bowed and scratched percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks. These first efforts were later expanded into joint sessions at Sascha's home studio and, within a few weeks, the journey reached it’s destination: Wibe strasse, Deutschland.

At first glance, they seem an odd couple: a techno veteran of almost thirty years meets a side-burned upstart socialized in Free Jazz and Krautrock. but the shared sonic influences come through in the hypnotic, dubbed-out sound, perhaps rooted in the close connection the two share to the Rheinland region in West Germany, Funke as part of the Kompakt family and Wandt by origin and socialization in the Cologne and Düsseldorf music scene centered around the Salon des Amateurs. Regional flavours, global appeal. Multi Culti, promoting local collaboration, one freaky record at a time.

Andreas Rund with his real name Ondřej Kulatý is a dj and producer from Czech Republic. He used to perform under the name “Atrey” and in 2014 he had his first EP. 
First release as “Andreas Rund” was at the label “Comorbid records” and another followed. 
His last release was at Marseille's label “Beat is murder” and with this started a new chapter which reflects in his current output. 
Andreas Rund emphasize on powerful beat and bassline with melodic elements. His tracks are dark something in between techno and electro with atmospheric background. 
His story goes on. With true love for music that Andreas undoubtedly have, you will listen about him in the near future.

10th release on the label comes from Bogdan from Saint-Petersburg, also known as Krjuk and member of duo Soft Metal. 

Four original tracks on the EP are full of breakbeat influences with acid lines and quirky percussions, filled with weird vocal cuts, wonky and atmospheric melodism. This combination ends up in some finest leftfield sound in the result.

We got Miskotom from Vilnius on the remix bringing dark and mystic vibe to the title track while ИДА co-founders Uninc & Kolomensky make a touch on ‘Sevkabel Acid’.

Exclusive Date with Elvis 'So Glad (Curses Remix)'

Based in Marseille La dame Noir Records has put out several pieces of music that adds value to today's highly competitive (music) market not necessarily following a certain genre but definitely a certain vibe. So far the label introduced us to artists such as Niv Ast, Elizier, Darkness Has Never Been So Bright, Motel 77 and Curses. The latter returns to the label with a remix for La dame Noir's latest EP, 'First Date Remixes', for Date With Elvis. Stylistically Curses' remix approach to 'So Glad' is a driving downtempo track with New Wave, Disco-ish and Rock-influences with few vocals snippets taken from the original but delightfully integrated into his version that's so strongly soaking its audience into the artist's groove that it is hard to free oneself from the thought if this version coming to an end. Curses delivers yet another piece of music that passes the spirit of times and lets one re-experience the aforementioned genres for a first time.

Date With Elvis' EP 'First Date Remixes' will be released on La dame Noir Records on September 20th, 2019.
