Lisa/Liza is the lo-fi, psych-folk recording project of Maine-based guitarist, singer and songwriter Liza Victoria. Deserts of Youth is her debut LP, after numerous limited edition cassette and CDr releases. Deserts of Youth is an intimate collection of seven original songs, recorded at home by Victoria, using just her voice and her acoustic guitar.

Liza explains:
"Deserts of Youth is an album about the parts of our past that remain within us, and visiting these landscapes with recognition of ourselves instead of a meditation on what has been lost, or is no longer a resource or a path we can use. It is about meeting the past and facing it with a sense of ownership instead of abandon; the idea that one can see a desert as a place of desolation or a place of needed reflection, full of life, and strength."

Desibel (se bildet) ble tatt initiativ til og produsert av Torkil Sandsund og opprinnelig laga som en høylytt protest mot planene om fjorddeponi i Førdefjorden, og ble første gang vist under Vevringutstillinga i 2009.

Skrap har komponert et ytterst konseptuelt stykke lyd som skal utbasuneres over Øyafestivalen i morgen kl. 14:00. Stykket kan bli sett på som en kommentar til kapitalismens altoppslukende krav om at alt, også kunsten, skal skapes for markedet. Stykket reflekterer rundt utsagn som: "I den "utviklede" verden setter skolen og mediene i spill formidable krefter som innvirker på selvet... Både masseutdanning og massemedia er utviklinger som er nødvendige for den konsernkapitalistiske verdensordenen. Dette er krefter som ønsker å organisere mennesker som fragmenterte "privatpersoner", massemotiverte av utsikter til forbruk" og "Det har utviklet seg en motsetning mellom den byråkratiske og faglige organiseringen av alt kulturarbeid og den tvetydige kulturmytologien, som på den ene siden antyder at massekulturen er populær og demokratisk, og på den andre siden hevder at høykultur er for eliten, en olympisk samtale mellom geni og forståsegpåer. Høykulturen er i stadig økende grad intet mindre enn en spesialisert og pretensiøs variant av massekulturen. Stjernesystemet er rådende, både i SoHo og Hollywood: All kultur dreier seg om publisitet og eksponering" -Allan Sekula.
