"You Might See A Hall" – Theme For The Opening of Middleton Hall

A composition created for my degree a few months ago. Very different to anything I've ever done before, but also one of my favourites. It only took two days to create, from start to finish.

The second track from my mini-EP/composition portfolio, 'Into The Unknown' is almost entirely MIDI-based, apart from a few violin lines that I recorded myself playing. Unlike the first piece, this one was composed during the creation of it.

The first of two tracks from my mini-EP/composition portfolio. I composed 'Forever Searching' last year, but decided that I really wanted to make a proper recording of it, so I worked with a number of talented musicians over a number of weeks who all gave up time to help me out, so thanks to all of you!

Actually performing and recording the piece wasn't possible, so I've thrown together a MIDI version in Logic just so that you get a feel for what it would be like. I've tried to recreate the acoustic of the foyer using reverb and delay, and have included background crowd noise, so that you get the full effect of the piece slowly emerging from the hustle and bustle.
