1982 komponierte Axel Schulß das Konzeptalbum "Papertiger and the Cat Cammerorchestra - TEE-Age" unter dem Pseudonym John Buttermann. 
Auf diesem Album war unter anderem der Titel "In The Disko" welcher von einem Kokainkauf auf einer Diskothekentoilette handelt.
Axel war, der aus Münster kam, war sehr bekannt in der Kunstszene. Er studierte Philosophie, Journalismus und Germanistik. Zudem war er Mitglied der freien Künstlergemeinschaft SCHANZE (Münster),
Erfinder und Betreiber des Ü welches ebenfalls in Münster ist.

Axel Schulß starb 2009 an den Folgen seiner MS Erkrankung. Unser Ziel war es nun, dieses wunderbare Lied und somit auch Axel Schulß wieder auferleben zu lassen.
Wir danken dir Axel Schulß für dieses superwitzige denglische Meisterwerk! 


In 1982 Axel Schulß did a concept LP "Papertiger and the Cat Cammerorchestra - TEE-Age" under the alias John Buttermann which includes the track "In the disko". 
The Track is about a cocaindeal in a Discothektoilette.
He lived and was very well known in the art scene in Münster(Germany). He studied philosophy, journalism and german language.
Axel also was a member of the art collective SCHANZE and founder of the Ü in Münster.

Writer, musician and artist Axel Schulß aka John Buttermann has died in 2009.
We wanted to rerelease this Track in thoughts to the artist.

Eine Welt presents Künefe as the second instalment in their limited 12inch series. 
A two tracker too hot to lick, spiced up with sweet Turkish herbs. A delicate oriental pearl, that’s until now only served in the finest Turkish cuisine. Produced and written by label owner Alexander Arpeggio and Danish artist Nixxon. 

The title track is a romantic homage to the sweet Turkish dish Künefe. Wrapped in 80s production NDW style, flavoured with analog synth melodies and erotic schlagerish German male vocals. Hotter than melted cheese this track will set any dance floor on fire.

The flip opens with a sensual vibe. Op beni Künefe is an anthemic, ferocious and hard rocking slow jam. Hip shaking bass line and flirty lyrics by Istanbul artist Hilal Can.
For those afraid of vocals, the record ends with an instrumental version of the title track.

Story of the MIXXXXX - Forgotten Vinyls
„When are you going to take the rest of your records with you?“ my dad kept asking me for 18 years (since 2006). As a child growing up in the bavarian countryside I discovered 80s music through my very good friend and dj „Electronic Biets“. His strong passion for all kinds of music, led him to a mix of I-F „live in new york“ from 2001. He passed it on to me when I was 18 years old in 2002. i did not expect that this live recording would change my life forever. This mix was full of perfectly mixed and selected Italo Disco tracks. I found myself listening to the it for half a year, day in day out. I would come home from work, park the car in front or my parents house and listen to the mix in the car till it was finished. This was the level of appreciation I had for this music. By that time, I didn’t know what kind of music it was. It took some time and a lot of research till I found out, that the genre was called Italo Disco. From there on I started buying everything labeled „Italo Disco & 80s“. Luckily, I had a good payed job which made me finance all this random buys from all over europe. So I ended up with lots of records I did not know. All I was looking for, was that special Italo Disco sound, but of course I also came across New Beat, Dark Wave, NDW and all sorts of great music from the 70s and 80s. But back then I had a rather narrow focus, so when I moved to Berlin in 2005, I left all those „Non Italo“ records at my parents house. Finally, last year, I took the time to go through all the records, I left behind in 2005 and rediscovered so many nice tracks. Even some cool 90s techno stuff on 33rpm. I even found records that I bought again later on without knowing that I have them already. So I decided to make a mix with my „forgotten“ records.
Besides that, it was also an interesting challenge to be limited to a smaller amount of records (30-40) to create a mix from. And here you go with Part 1.

H.A.N.D. MIX 053 : Alexander Arpeggio

Sameheads & Mutant Radio are going a teenie weenie bit further and unifying their ongoing collab in plastic. The kind you play, not the stuff you throw away.

Released in Spring, at a party we’re throwing together in Tbilisi, this little beaut is a double sided 7”.

The MUTANTHEADS split 7” features some solid sound rep from both projects….

For Sameheads, Andrea & Alexander release their first material together, acting as a kind of trailer to an upcoming album released later this year on R-I-O. The track “Olias” finally gets its press after once being performed live at the fabled Sameheads festival “City of a Thousand Suns”… those were the days eh…..

On the Mutant Radio side, fresh talent TINA delivers her debut release, and for that matter, the first ever track Mutant have put onto a piece of vinyl….. The track “Vacation” is the squelchy black sheep counter balance to the silky synth vibe of the other side. Just how they like it.

The release will be up for pre-order from next week, and the digital stuff too…. Just the 300 copies available…… So,,, fix up look sharp……

OTTO - Wir Kommen

Long time in the vaults, soon out in pop heaven: Andrea & Alexander, a handsomely nostalgic pop project by Andrea Noce aka Eva Geist and Alexander Arpeggio. Originally launched in 2014, revitalized in 2023, the project originated as a live set-up consisting of synthesizers, effect pedals, and analogue drum machines. From there it slowly metamorphosed into a crew of songs with raw minimal-wave grooves and romantically haunting English and German pop lyrics, loosely evoking the aura of Siouxsie Sioux, Gudrun Gut or Nadine Bal. After becoming a live mainstay in the Berlin based underground club Sameheads, they went on a tour through Lithuania and soon after several unfortunate troubles led to the break-up of the band, prompting both Andrea and Alexander to focus on their solo careers. Andrea became Eva Geist and released for various international labels, played live and formed the female duo As Longitude. Alexander founded his own label Eine Welt, took over the management of the renowned underground festival Camp Cosmic and created two musical projects with Cid Hohner, Otto and Aufgang B. Now, years later, almost becoming a Soundcloud corpse some Andrea & Alexander recordings caught the attention of the R.i.O. folks and just seconds later they offer six freshly recorded cuts of Andrea & Alexander tunes that stood the test of time as authentic, soulful pop music. “What are we going to wear for tonight’s party?” Andrea Noce asks in their song “Tiney Party”. The answer is “Loved Up” a musical celebration outfit of six sincere recorded, emotionally accorded songs, who make the dance, give verve a chance, to be there, in that moment of all moments. An album for the listener that likes to dance. In his head, on the local carpet. “Loved Up” humming Andrea & Alexander tunes.
