Get Up Recordings continues its steady string of top notch underground house music releases with &ldquo;Movin&rsquo; 2 Fast&rdquo; from the New York City-based collective Brooklyn is Burning (DJ Nita and Adam Joseph). DJ Nita is one of the most sought after DJs in the NYC underground club scene and has been creating a buzz with his production work, especially for his remixes for Scissor Sisters and Beyonce. He is also currently one-half of the DJ / production duo The Carry Nation. Adam Joesph is a prolific producer, songwriter, and vocalist. He was featured on super-producer Bob Sinclair&rsquo;s album Born in 69 with the track, &ldquo;The Way I Feel&rdquo;. &ldquo;Movin&rsquo; 2 Fast&rdquo; is a straightforward dance track reminiscent of the &rsquo;90s house scene. With its melodic keys, catchy vocal hook, and infectious bass line it has all the elements to become a future house classic. The release includes three remixes, the first coming from Australian DJ / producers Stereogamous. The duo, who have done remixes for and collaborations with such artists as Kylie Minogue, George Michael, LCD Soundsystem, and The Presets, give the track a big room 2-step electro feel. Next up is Discodromo, the Italian DJ / producers residing deep in the Berlin music scene. Their remix is a departure from the usual nu-disco format as they bring a warehouse rave feel to the track. The final remix comes San Francisco&rsquo;s Vin Sol, head honcho at Soo Wavey Records. His remix is packed to the brim with trippy minimal happy house vibes. Smiley face.

Brooklyn is Burning - Movin' 2 Fast (Get Up Recordings)

Los Angeles-based outfit Boogie Basics welcomes three-man DJ / production team Stylus to the roster, ushering in the group's inaugural single 'Got To Have It.' Comprised of Thee-O, Rob Pointer, and Luis Rosario, each member of Stylus brings nearly two decades worth of professional experience to the table. 

Simultaneously representing three of the country's biggest house scenes - hailing from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City respectively - Thee-O, Rob, and Luis have each accrued impressive accolades in their cities. From pioneering studios and directing industry software companies like Propellerhead, to founding fêted club nights and alternative festivals, Stylus is hardly short of experience or capability. Coming out with a bang, 'Got To Have It' is an effective but somber melodic house hybrid with choppy tech-house tendencies. Slipping back and forth between chirping crescendos and bubbling synths, bits of organic timbre and rigid instrumentation create an obstacle course of complexity that doesn't overwhelm. It's a definite dance floor winner. If 'Got To Have It' is any indication of things to come it's fair to say that this is undoubtedly only the start of what will surely be a fruitful collaboration . the future looks bright.
