BLUE -  CLEAN SLATE (FEAT. JHORNZ)

Today marks my 25th birthday, and to celebrate, I'm thrilled to share a very special song with all of you. This song has been three years in the making, and it's my first dubstep song.  

I crafted a euphoric melody featuring soft synths and a delicate glass piano for the intro, leading into a powerful breakdown and build-up. I struggled with creating satisfactory drops. After experimenting with seven different ideas, I decided to scrap them all and took a two-year hiatus from the song to pursue other songs. 

Returning to this song this year, I embraced a fresh approach to sound design that resonated with me. The first drop has a hard-hitting kick and snare dubstep pattern, a dynamic combination of crunchy quarter-note basses and brass stabs with a heavy sustain layered underneath them. For the second drop, I introduced elements of jersey club before seamlessly transitioning back to heavy dubstep. 

This song marks the beginning of a series, with (Part. 1) laying the foundation for future installments that will reflect my evolving sound. I plan to embark on Part 2's creation sometime in 2025.

Long story short I ended up dropping shrooms with some friends and the next day I was inspired to create this. I normally don't make house so this is definitely a first for me lol.
