I Fratelli Farfalli - Ponyhof 2021

When the fabulous @moynmusik crew invited me to play at Plan:et C, I did not hesitate to say "HELL YES!". I was running my own little festival on the same weekend, but I could not resist - so I delegated all tasks for the day and made my way to Lärz. 
Playing an early slot, I started with some slow tunes. Quite fast it got crowded, so I took pace up, evolving the set into a hi-nrg disco set with a pinch of rave classics. Pure joy spread all over the dancers. Hands-Up moments. All the smiles and ecstatic dance moves - hell, this was a whole lot of fun!!!
Esp. after the last 1.5 years, we need more happy music - and I promise: I will not stop hunting for the most energetic records, so we will never ever have to stop dancing our asses off again!
Oh... and how could I not end this very special set with "Marlena Shaw - Touch me in the morning"? ;)

Alexander Paulski @ Plan:et C Gamma | Fusion Festival 2021 (Froyndliche Übernahme @ Haupttresen)

My first encounter with Psytrance was when I was 17. I could not believe what I was hearing. Since then I always loved dancing and hanging out at trance floors at festival, but it was many years later when I decided to go to Boom Festival... and I was blown away. Blown away by the energy, the love, the spirituality. I dove deeper into this music.
During a kundalini meditation I discovered the endless possibilities that lie in this practice when combined with psytrance. Goalini, a workshop I held at festivals, was born. And so was the wish to play psytrance as a DJ. Being a house and disco DJ I had quite some experience and, frankly, my head was so full with music, that I found it hard to go an additional route, but as the magic lies beneath your comfort zone, I did. Loving high enegery psytrance in various styles and loving to lose my self in a trance-like dance, I collected a lot of music and now finally recorded my first full set under my alias "Cosmic Healer". Turn your volume to the max, close your eyes and dance yourself into trance.

One last time in Beesenstedt. Here comes the set @gemue and me played on Saturday night right after the burn. Words cannot describe what this Burning Man-inspired event we started 6 years ago means to us. This is the place where we played together for the first time and where I Fratelli Farfalli were born. "Zum Brennenden Bären" changed our lives and we are grateful for every single moment we had there. This set is a tribute to the stories we share and at the same time a kickstart into whatever will come.

Here comes the first out of four sets I played at Burning Man this year. Over the past decade Burning Man and its culture and community has paved the way to who I am today. Life is a gift we should cherish everyday - be it in the way we treat ourselves or in every single encounter with the people around us.
I played this set on the art car "Charlie the Unicorn" (which is in fact the first art car that stuck to my mind back in 2014 when I went to Burning Man for the first time) on Thursday night on the playa. I chose a more ravey approach for this set - full of bangers that capture the atmosphere of the a night full of life and shenanigans. The set is a tribute to all those crazy lights, the dancing and smiling people and the pitch black sky filled with stars and laser beams - full of straight-forward dance floor energy and a pinch on disco-infused tunes

PUUUH! WHAT SHOULD I SAY?! WHAT A MORNING!
Here comes my set from Sisyphos Wintergarten on April, 16th 2023. My first time in this booth - and it was really one to remember. Taking on an already packed and energized dance floor, the vibe took me and I played my very own interpretation of disco - three hours of uplifting disco gems and house bangers from all around the globe, from old to new. Three hours flew by in the glimpse of a second and I could have played at least 5 hours more. I can't wait to be back - my heart is filled with love, my soul is full of passion, my head is full of ideas and my bag is full of awesome tunes I want to show you next time.

Imagine a space where everything is possible - a space that allows things beyond your imagination to happen. Sweaty bodies heat the air, beautiful people  mingle skin to skin - all dressed up to create an immersive experience for everyone. A smell of tension, ecstasy and lust lies in the air - this is House of Lunacy. 
My opening set is a blend of different genres, creating a journey through the night, guiding the rhythm of the bodies on the dance floor and setting the mood for the hours to come.

Enjoy our latest set from Hamburn 2023. Starting the typical "I Fratelli Farfalli" way with Italo loaded dance floor bangers and some classics, we slowly evolved the set into an uplifting rave session. Or in other words: we started with lots of "amore" and brought the dance floor to a boil until "al dente".

I Fratelli Farfalli | 𝒜𝓂𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓁 𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓉𝑒 @ Hamburn 2023

In January, I had the privilege of performing at the Wildes Wintercamp once more—a ski excursion to the Dolomites orchestrated by Wilde Möhre and Bassliner. What an absolute blast! With five ski areas, a bunch of wild people, amazing Alpine cuisine, and undoubtedly superb music, the experience was unforgettable. I was honored to DJ at both club nights, and here's my set from the first evening.

But how do you get a crowd unfamiliar with disco to dance non-stop for three hours? Or better yet, how do you make them fall head over heels for disco when they're anticipating techno? Well, I managed to do just that. I dub it "Power Disco," and here's me recipe: Starting off from a 150bpm live set, I kicked things off with pulsating Indie Dance and Acid tracks, gradually transitioning into timeless House classics and floor-shaking Four-to-the-Floor bangers. I intermittently sprinkled in some Disco tunes for some spiciness, gradually steering the set into more funkiness.

Following a first longer disco segment, I again blended some heavier genres, including some techno from my early rave days in. As the set progressed, I immersed the dancers into my HiNRG Disco universe, and they absolutely adored it. I ended up playing 1.5 hours longer than scheduled, until 2 a.m., creating the perfect vibe for the next day's adventures on the slopes starting at 8 a.m. (because when else?). I'm eagerly anticipating my return to the snow with this incredible family.

WWC 2024 - How To Trick Them Into Disco

My set from Berlin's first pre-work rave, Morning Gloryville. It was one of those energetic and positive moments that result from the right mixture of music and people. I am sure there is no better way to start a day. I tried to adapt the style of my set to this special time and setting, combining harder house tunes and cheerful disco. And suddenly there was light!

Here comes my set from Tuesday night at Muumimaa Stage at Borderland 2019. I quickly immersed into this great atmosphere and played a banging house set with a pinch of soulfulness and some classics. Half way through the set, right during a transition to "Sylve - I've only got you to blame", when I was going to bring the set to a new direction of Disco and Neo Disco, the power went out and never came back. It broke my heart. People wanted to help and looked for the generator, but there was no chance. Walking home a girl approached me and said "I was so tired and I did not know what I need. And the you started to play and I knew it was you that I needed". This sentence made my morning and while the sun rose, the power outage already seemed less dramatic to me.
Thank you for dancing. I cannot wait to be back...

Borderland 2019 | Muumimaa Stage

In December I had to big honor to close an amazing year with my first gig in Berlin's legendary KitKat Club. Oh what a blast it was! Turn your speakers on and get sweaty!

Two years ago, two souls met somewhere in the Burning Man world. It did not take long until they felt a strong connection, both on a personal and on a musical level. Soon, actually at the second time they ever met, their shared passion for every genre related to disco and house made them decide to play a back2back set. What happened rather randomly back then became a tradition (but still rather occasionally). More for fun, but yet always with great joy for all the dancers. Like musical twins divided after their birth, they melt together on stage. 
This is why now it is time to give it a name. With our gig on the 18th of January 2020 in Hamburg, "Alexander Paulski b2b Tobeazy" became a side project. Ladies and gentlemen, we could not be more happy to announce "I FRATELLI FARFALLI", our acid-infused Neo-Italo project with - who would except something else from us - strong house references and a pinch of rare disco gems you have not yet heard. 
So, here it is our first set under this alias! Enjoy!

Alexander Paulski @ Sounds (24.10.2020)

In the early 2000s Alex fell in love with the power and the spirit of house and disco. A love that has not changed ever since. Paired with a decent rave attitude, Alex aims to create a dance floor where every dancer feels at home. 
A sound best describes as Power Disco: a multifaceted crossover blending all shades of House and Disco – from A like Acid House to Hi-NRG (lots of it) or Italo, all the way to Z as in Zouk – coupled with a good dose of Rave Classics.  It's vibrant and unconventional. A bold musical statement with an absolute focus on the dance floor. Music selected and crafted for all the dancers among us. The kind of music that sparks those "Hand-Up" moments, leaving us speechless, eyes closed, a wide grin on our faces, and a bold "What the f***?" echoing in our minds as we seamlessly merge with the dance floor.
