I could listen to this melody on loop for hours... and I wouldn't get tired of flying...

Alexander Zekke is a composer and cellist. He frequently composes for dance, notably for …como el musguito en la piedra, ay si, si, si…, the last piece of Pina Bausch. He regularly collaborates with Carolyn Carlson and other international choreographers.

His first venture into composition for film was Indigène d’Eurasie, directed by Sharunas Bartas and premiered at the 60th Berlin Film Festival in 2010. He has since composed the original scores for numerous films: feature films such as El verano de los peces voladores (Marcela Said, Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2013), TV films (Palace Beach Hotel, Philippe Venault, Arte, 2014), short films and documentaries.

His compositions have also appeared in performance pieces ranging from museum installations to theatre works in Paris, London and New York.
