Der Sommer entschwand gar unlängst in den weiten Tiefen des Ozeans und die Herbststürme peitschen das Meer auf und lassen die Wellen tosend gegen unseren Bug schlagen. In den Kojen schaukeln die Hängematten nur so umher und in der Kombüse kochen die Kartoffeln über, denn die beiden Smutjes https://soundcloud.com/buchneroberst sind zwar wundervoll musikalische Lausbuben zu Land, doch mit der Seetauglichkeit ist es noch nicht weit her. Aber, ohne Übung kein Meister und ohne Musik keine Überfahrt. Somit schwelgen wir, ob der schweren Winde, in sommerlichen Erinnerungen, als das Meeresrausch Festival uns ein intensiv schönes Wochenende schenkte. Dort verlebten wir 2 tolle Tage, spielten mit dem Klang des Windes und des Wassers und entschlossen uns, bei einer Mate und derlei erheiternden Stoffen, dass wir uns https://soundcloud.com/heimlichaufsc treffen und gemeinsame Sachen machen. Es hat dann doch noch ein zwei Überfahrten gedauert, doch jetzt ist er da und auch endlich online, der inspirierten und tänzerische Eindruck eines Sommerwochenendes.

Tipp: Dem Sommer folgt, auf UNHEIMLICH' en Wegen, eine gespenstische Feier. Am 31.10. 2017 werden die FreundInnen von HEIMLICH und die SEASIDETRIP Crew, im Schloss Cobenzl/ Wien, ein hohes Lied auf die Freundschaft trällern und etliche Gläser auf die Musik erheben. Who is Nu?

A nomad of modern times, who has traveled the continents with his music, Nu is as diverse in his musical styles as he is well traveled.

Taking influences from his various homes the producer and trained sound engineer branched out into various genres. Through ten years-long musical journey Nu then found his true calling: instrumentals amalgamated with his electronic production all held together through solid rhythms.

Special why? Well, because this mix is a live recording of her set from the "La Estación" stage at Mexico's legendary and magical Bahidora festival!! This mix brings the feeling of that sunkissed festival to your ears wherever you are, whatever the weather, as Yule explains >>>

"This music is perfect for a chilled psychedelic environment with lots of hose bathings, rolling on the grass, eating fruits and lying in a hammock late in the afternoon." (tracklist below)

If you don't know Yule she lives in Niterói (Rio de Janeiro - Brasil), is a "cinema lover, daughter of trip-hop, samba, dub &amp; grooves admires strong kicks and fast loops for solar parties" ;) She has also released music on many Sh Sh friends and family (Casa Caos, Fertil Discos, Tropical Twista and Drossel to name a few!)

She also happens to be the creator and curator of the "@Unsbeat" label with two albums and second compilation coming soon so, watch this space!

Flavour of The Month: Abril 18 (Yule)

Jason Rawlings has been passionate about electronic music and the global festival community for 15 years. Having started out as an event organiser supporting seminal Australian based labels Open Records and Zenon Records. His main contribution in the early days however was as art designer for many accomplished Australian artists, helping to bring their vision to life through conceptual based artwork. 

These days Jason is lead programmer of award winning indie game development studio Yak & Co, creators of Agent A - Australian Game of the Year. He works closely with Apple, Google and the major game console platforms. His true passion does lie with music, however through the successes of his game development career it has enabled a nomadic lifestyle where’s been fortunate enough to experience many amazing festivals and talent from around the globe. This has helped to shape a deep understanding of what makes good flow within a musical journey. Hopelessly addicted to the unparalleled feeling of amazing artists sharing their craft and seeing the sheer joy it brings to festival goers. With not much time left in the day for producing music, he’s found the only way to express himself musically by always diving through the endless torrent of music releases looking for the latest gem to put in a mix.

A leading figure in the underground dance fraternity, James Monro set the music scene alight, “In the Ether”. A product of a lifetime’s involvement in the industry, a pair of tracks are now remixed, courtesy of a trio of Australian talents.

Australian duo, Uone & Western, possess formidable reputations across the global dance scene. Uone draws on a plethora of genres to reflect an ever-changing sonic palette that radiates a host of “exotic tribal cultures, sounds of urban swing and 60s psychedelia”. The resultant blend has seen the Melbourne DJ cross the world at a host of leading events and clubs including Burning Man and his hometown, “Rainbow Serpent Festival”. In tandem, a stellar production career has resulted in over a century of credits for such leading imprints as Sprout, Heinz Music and Stil Vor Talent. Working alongside his fellow countryman, Nicholas West, Uone & Western have delivered a score of credits for leading imprints including KATERMUKKE, Dear Deer and Sol Selectas. Indeed, the “Hidden Oasis” EP for the latter, including remixes from Jonas Saalbach and Dreems, was a notable highlight of the label’s hugely successful 2017 release schedule. Making their Proton Music debut, the Uone & Western remix of “Voyager” is a beautifully constructed affair that radiates the energy of Monro’s original, paying tribute to the melodic tropes that played a central role, while adding a host of additional production material. As new motifs extend the reach and feel, a huge bassline adds low-end dominance while sumptuous pads and rich delays add texture and depth. A loquacious vocal sample further adds intrigue and style in the aptly named “Space Tribute” remix.
