British producer, remixer, and DJ Julian Peake – aka Foreign Movies - makes his debut on Nick Warren’s label The Soundgarden with the earth-shattering two-tracker, ‘New York/707 Heaven’.

If you’re after jittering percussion, a catchy-as-hell synth loop, and kick drums so mighty that they could topple a skyscraper, then you’ll probably want to head over to ‘New York’. Oh, and once you’re there, be prepared for Peake to throw in a club-ready bass line, hooks so sharp they could slice you open, and a surprising vocal sample, before turning the whole thing up to eleven. It’s seven-and-a-half minutes of gargantuan Melodic House from the London native and it’s completely and utterly spellbinding. 

There’s no let-up with ‘707 Heaven’ as the prodigious producer continues to view every minute not spent shaking floorboards and pounding windows as a moment sadly wasted. It’s a moodier and more cinematic affair, and one that’s reminiscent of some of the Nineties house scene’s darker moments. After a melodic start, an immense drop at the five-minute mark seals the track off and ensures that anybody within earshot will find it damn-near impossible not to get up and move to the music. 

And then, eight-and-a-bit minutes later, it’s all over. You’re left invigorated, and energised, and unable to shake the nagging feeling that maybe – just maybe - Foreign Movies’ debut effort for The Soundgarden might just be one for the ages.

Baunder Comienza a producir a mediados de los ’90, infuenciado principalmente por el house de Danny Tenaglia y MURK.
Lo que nacio como un hobby, rápidamente se transformo en una pasion, y gracias a esas primeras producciones conoce a Oliverio con quien forma Soundexile en 2006.

Sus primeras producciones tuvieron el apoyo de grandes djs y productores (Laurent Garnier, Sasha y Danny Tenaglia entre otros) pero principalmente de Hernan Cattaneo, con quien comenzaron a producir música original y remixes.
Esa sociedad musical creció y se fortaleció a tal punto, que comenzaron a trabajar junto a el, en sus ya clásicas compilaciones para sellos de prestigio internacional, la ultima, editada a finales de 2019 por el sello Balance.

Gran parte de esa música se ha editado en algunos de los sellos mas importantes de la escena actual, como Sudbeat, All Day I Dream, Lost & Found, Hope Recordings, Replug, Natura Sonoris y The Hacienda Records (hogar de New Order) entre muchos otros.

Como DJ compartio cabina con muchos de sus referentes, como Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Dave Seaman, TIesto, Guy J y Guy Gerber, por nombrar algunos.

En 2015 fue invitado a tocar en la Ultra Music Conference de Korea, y continuo con una gira por varias ciudades de Japon y China.
En 2017 la invitación fue al mitico Ministry Of Sound de Londres, para luego embarcarse en una segunda gira por Japon, acompañando a Hernan Cattaneo.

Entre medio se presento en paises como Holanda, España, China, USA, Brasil, Chile y Uruguay

En Argentina, se presento en los eventos mas importantes, como Creamfields (9 años seguidos) Moonpark y Forja (3 ediciones) y en los clubes mas emblemáticos de Buenos Aires, como Pacha, State y The Bow. En el resto del país, ha viajado por Cordoba, Mendoza, Santa Fe, Neuquen, Jujuy, Salta, San Luis, San Juan, Corrientes y Misiones entre otras.

En 2018 fue parte del show sinfonico de musica electronica “Connected” junto a Hernan Cattaneo, Oliverio Sofia y mas de 50 musicos en escena, en uno de los escenarios mas importantes de la Argentina, el Teatro Colon. Fueron 4 funciones soldout, y una función al aire libre para mas de 40.000 personas. Enjoy the ride!!

Partners in life, love, crime and sharing a great passion for electronic music, Alexandra & Kai have been playing together for over five years. When not in London, they can be found in a green valley in the wilds of Winterbourne, where they have been known to host a party or two!

Alexandra & Kai bring great dynamic and infectious enthusiasm; all of which is reflected in the crowds they play for. Channelling their energies into discovering tracks that bring emotion and happiness to their crowd, they also draw their inspiration from live gigs and festivals, and from an ever-growing collective of talented friends. 

Together, Alexandra & Kai host Kimberfest, a small annual 4-day music festival for “friends and family” at their rural home in the English countryside. With the festival now in it’s 8th year, it has attracted headliners including D-Nox, Roy Rosenfeld, Beckers, John Monkman, and most lately, Sebastian Mullaert. 

A&K have also recently launched a series of weekend ‘Kimber Sessions’, for people who want to spend time together outside the city and enjoy night-long sets from highly acclaimed and inspiring DJs and producers. The first one launched in October 2022, with special guests Frankey & Sandrino. 

Our backgrounds:
Kai started as a promoter and DJ on the Brixton club scene 20 years ago, and has since played in Ibiza, as well as at Pacha and Egg, at festivals including Noisily, Psy Boutique, and Kimberfest and at events hosted by Fox & Badge, Malice, and Take it Further. Kai combines the precision of his German ancestry with the romance of his birthplace, South Africa, into sets that leave an impression long after the night has passed. 

Alexandra has been DJing for a few years she has played at a variety of club nights in London, from her favourite being Fox&Badge’s events at The Steelyard, to a private party in a royal residence. When not indulging her love of music, Alexandra is an independent publisher of award-winning books on design, science and nature - all of which weave their way into the music that she loves to play. 

Together, Alexandra & Kai have played at events from London to Cape Town, as well as festivals, including Psy-Boutique, Turkey; Noisily, UK; Secret Garden Party, UK; and of course their own Kimberfest.
