Having graduated from Edinburgh University in History of Art, Alexandra was selected for the Associated Studios Opera Programme, which she completed with the generous support of the Richard Carne Trust. She has taken part in masterclasses with Janice Chapman, Jonathan Cohen, Catherine Bott, Donald Maxwell and the late John Shirley-Quirk. She currently studies with Andrew Watts.

Concert engagements in UK and Europe have included the works of Bach (Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen); Haydn (Nelson Mass); Mozart (Mass in C Minor); Beethoven (Symphony No. 9); Rossini (Stabat Mater); Orff (Carmina Burana) and Mahler (Symphony no. 4). A champion of contemporary repertoire, Alexandra has given several world premières: Patrick Hawes’ Te Deum (conducted by the composer), works by Cecilia Macdowell and creating the role of Princess Sabia in Malcolm Archer’s St. George & The Dragon. 

Alexandra has given recitals at the Guildford International Music Festival, the Portsmouth Festivities, the Chelsea Schubert Festival, the Shipley Arts Festival (with trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins), The National Gallery in London and the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. Alexandra performed at a re-opening concert of the Fairfield Halls, Croydon and has regularly appeared as a guest soloist with the Band and Orchestra of HM Royal Marines. Alexandra is frequently featured as a soloist on Classic FM Social Media in venues such as Royal Opera House; most recently her performance was Classic FM’s musical tribute to HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on the day of his funeral, a video that engaged with hundreds of thousands of people across the globe.

Alexandra's operatic performances include Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel , Monica in Menotti's The Medium, Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) and Tatyana (Eugene Onegin). She has appeared at St. John's, Smith Square as Le Feu and Le Rossignol in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortileges and Anne Trulove (The Rake's Progress).

A lover of jazz, Alexandra has performed at the Pigalle Club, London. Together with pianist Nicola Rose, Alexandra works for the charity Lost Chord, which brings recitals to dementia patients in care homes across the UK.
