Picking up where his last excursions left off, Collectively finds Royer on typically dreamy form, taking micro-thought experiments and carving them into evolving, metamorphic journeys that capture as much the ambience of late night Paris as the spirit of US house music. 

To even the balance, German newcomer TRP fires up the cannons for a tough, bouncing remix on the B2. Crackling and chugging with dust-coated drums and pads, this is a serious floor-banging rework right here. 

Original artwork comes from Royer himself, with full artwork matte sleeve, warm red centre labels and a mind-bending B&W A4 insert.

Im Winter sind die Wolken über Istanbul leicht gelblich. Das kommt daher, dass viele in der Stadt noch mit Braunkohle heizen. Es gibt aber auch andere Wolken, die nicht über der Stadt sondern in den Straßen der Metropole wabern. Die Wolken aus Tränengas der türkischen Polizei. Versprüht gegen friedlich demonstrierende Menschen. Das türkische Vocal im Intro unseres Tracks sagt dazu: "Die Menschen auf den Straßen von Istanbul atmen die gelben Wolken ein und pusten sie raus aus der Stadt in Richtung Meer." Die Kinder, die auf dem Track-Cover zu sehen sind, stehen sinnbildlich für diese friedlich Demonstrierenden. Sie tanzen in den Wolken aus Tränengas.

Berlin DJ/producer Daniel Steinberg returns with his wonderful third album ‘Left-Handed’ – a kaleidoscopic trip through house, electronica and jazz and imbued with the artist’s trademark warmth and adventurous musical spirit. 

With any rich, textured, personality-laden Daniel Steinberg release, there’s always a story. An entertaining tale often of misfortune and downtrodden luck that eventually gives rise to inspired moments of creative clarity and some of the finest productions of the German’s career.

True to form – ‘Left-Handed’ is no different. The colourful 9-track work was born out of a booze-fuelled accident around Christmas last year that resulted in a fracture to Steinberg’s right wrist. With his girlfriend heading home for the holidays and a broken internet connection, the Berliner had little else to do but pour his focus into music.
