Chopin wrote it while residing in Mallorca, a period marked by his battle with poor health and the complexities of his relationship with writer George Sand. Amid the picturesque yet turbulent backdrop of the island, this piece emerged—a tender reflection of melancholy, introspection, and grace.

My name is Alexandru Ciobanu Al Rufei, and I am a Concert Pianist, Composer, Songwriter, and Ballet Piano Accompanist. As a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor in Arts/Piano Performance and over 15+ years of teaching experience, I am thrilled to share my musical journey with you.
