again, outstanding and marvellously creative. My daughter's name is Elise, so of course I had to learn this one, and I sometimes play around with a silly Jazzy style version myself, but very very basic and nothing nearly as rich as this. Really digging checking out your music man.

A requiem for my sister Lisa, and 4th movement of a work I have planned to complete as I have time and inspiration for each part of my outline.

The title comes from my daughter, who heard me as I was playing with the initial melodic idea, and said it sounds like a mourning bird.

This piece is best heard through headphones or quality stereo speakers to hear all the details.

I composed it a little after New Year’s Eve 2024 it’s one of my newest tracks.

It is maybe the final version or one of. It is mostly one take Piece, with a few minor track re-recordings, and it was intended so. 😊

2 years after creating it and finally, Le Grand Pirouette, my composition, continues to evolve I believe!
As I have already mentioned, my purpose isn’t to record 0 mistakes, flawless, or even edited recordings BUT TO TAKE YOU ON THE JOURNEY from when it appears in my mind and my heart and then slowly emerges and shines in something new every time.

Thinking of Elise is my one take recording from tonight and somewhat interpretation of Fur Elise by dear Beethoven. I haven't played this for about 25 years, at least not entirely, only the first page, fooling around at my gigs countless times, making it either boogie-woogie, or jazzy, or doing a mix with other classical themes like the 5'th symphony theme and ending it with happier same 5th symphony improvising the theme in c major cause why not?!

Taylor Swift- Back To December (nice piano cover)

An improvised song without any specific theme or emotion. This was primarily a test of a new microphone position, hence the title. Previously the mic was on the middle of the lid (partially open), but now the lid is fully open and the mic is resting on a music stand about a meter above the end of where the low-pitch longer strings begin. If you have any opinions about this sound compared to my previous recordings, please send me a comment! (Thanks to the folks at Piano World forums for giving some ideas about mic placement.)

My name is Alexandru Ciobanu Al Rufei, and I am a Concert Pianist, Composer, Songwriter, and Ballet Piano Accompanist. As a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor in Arts/Piano Performance and over 15+ years of teaching experience, I am thrilled to share my musical journey with you.
