Alex Bessofen, born in Bogota, Colombia, is a DJ and electronic music artist recognized for his progressive style fused with other genres such as house, melodic, trance, psy-trance and techno. His professional career began in the main clubs of Colombia, including cities such as Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Pereira, Manizales, Cartagena, Villavicencio, Yopal, Armenia, Barranquilla, among others. Some of the clubs where he has played include Baum, Octava, Video Club, Salon Amador, Sonorama, Armando Records, Floyd, Viuz, Tunnel, Sonido Central, Selina, Clandestino, Theatron, Menos -1, Incognito, Radio Berlin, Vagabong, The End Piso 30, Plot, Mini Lounge and Vintrash.

In addition, Alex has had the opportunity to be selected to perform "Warm up" for renowned international artists such as Hernan Cattáneo, Joris Voorn, Boris Brejcha, Sasha, Matador, Nick Warren, Mind Against, Maceo Plex, Miss Monique, Marc Houle, Stephan Bodzin, Luciano, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sebastien Leger, among others.

His talent has led him to be part of the line-ups of prominent national and international festivals, such as Empire Music Festival (GTM), Baum Park, Tatacoa Festival, Black Box Festival, Creepy Festival and Cocora Festival.

Alex has also taken his music to international clubs, such as Liberty Club and Marula Club (Madrid), Spain. Speakeasy, On Heaven, Thompson, in (Playa Del Carmen), HRoof (Cancun) and Nomads (Isla Mujeres) in Mexico. He has also participated in international radio programs such as Metrodance (Argentina) and national programs such as Residente X and La W (Noches Electrónicas). His work has been published in international magazines such as Vicious Magazine and Mix Mag. 

As a music producer, Alex has released his first EP titled "The Begging" in April 2013, and has worked with labels such as Balkan Connection (Serbia), Mango Alley (Japan), Droid 9 (USA), Superordinate Music (UK) and Clubsonica (Colombia). His productions have reached Beatport's top 100 in the "Progressive House" category twice. He has also released his track "El Darien" for the ADE . 006 Compilation (Amsterdam Dance Event). His productions have been played by artists such as Hernan Cattáneo, Ruben de Ronde and Dj Ruby, and his sets on YouTube have accumulated more than 41k plays.

In 2016, he was a resident of +57Club, and in 2018 he became resident DJ and Booking Manager of Octava Club, which managed to rank #97 in the list of the best clubs in the world according to Dj Mag. To date Alex is Resident DJ of Mad Radio Bogota, where he is booking the weekly Thursday programming on "Progressive.FM". That same year, Alex won the CEC award "Cultura Electronica Colombia" as a revelation artist. In 2019, he was part of the "Medellín Music Week" with guest artists such as Joseph Capriati (Italy) and Carl Craig (USA).

In 2018, Alex created the most important progressive house and melodic techno event in Colombia called "Crescendo Presenta", where he has presented renowned DJs such as Sasha, Hernán Cattáneo, Øostil, Dmitry Molosh, Fernando Ferreyra, Antrim, Guy J, Nick Warren and Roy Rosenfeld, among others. 

Alex Bessofen is a reference of progressive and electronic music in Colombia.
