Caught this vocalization in an overnight recording, during a weekend camping trip on land near the former ghost town Lemieux, Ontario. The thinned out trees surrounding the camp sites adjacent to the Nation River, made a nice acoustic space for the calls. 

They occurred around 2:40am--a distant dog can be heard replying as well.
