I've been shipped around these islands since i was seventeen.
Finally, I found the time to take it all easy.
You offered up your violence, but I'm largely sedentary. 
The singular collection of star dust that's left for me.

You came to me all smiling, but it wasn't what it seemed.
You placed me in a cage, and then you threw away the key.
I offered nought but silence to escape your hedgmony. 
Whilst picking through the bones in an attempt at living free.

Dreams aren't ever as they seem. 
People scrape by and scheme.
People sing their own songs.
Dreams, where the doors are closing.
The booming voice from within.
Says wait for things to go wrong.

See this relationship begat a pile of your debris.
The mask came creeping formless in the shape of pleasantries. 
You offered up compliance, but then asked me for a fee.
It cost as much as anything, as much as sanity. 

The shadowbans, my biggest fan, a waking reverie.
A place to spend the winter where the winds aren't so heavy.
You sold me out for pennies cos the costs were heavenly.
A separation brought on by the waters of the sea.

Dreams of a type and a theme.
Into soft melodies 
With people dancing along.
Dreams are warnings sent by a friend.
Who knows to what they portend?
Suppose they speed things along.

The link that held together had been severed long before. 
A chink that turned forever into kind of nevermore.
A difference of opinion can be all kinds of deathly.
You bought a brand new lock and then you threw away the key.

Facing Frost

Divided and Conquered

At midnight we decode the lies we told ourselves at noon,  
Two shadows linked in parallel beneath a silver moon.  
You write in quiet scripts across the soft lines of my skin,  
Programs built from whispered truths we’re terrified to begin.

Our silence is an interface that only we can read,  
A language forged in longing and emotional debris.  
You trace the codes of galaxies between my fragile bones,  
A symphony of binaries wrapped up in human tones.

We run our secret processes where broken lovers hide,  
In folders no one opens, deep where sorrows coincide.  
The night becomes our server—vast, encrypted, calm,  
A place where ghosts of data sing a pixelated psalm.

But dawn is just a shutdown that we’re never ready for,  
A timestamp marking endings we cannot restore.  
Still every night at 00:01 you pull me back again,  
A loop that feels like heaven for a finite heart like mine.
