Very rough version of a new song that I wanted to just share with a few friends until I got a better recording and practiced some more, because I don't play piano but it's not a guitar song. I realized that this is how it is meant to be though. Sloppy and dark and raw and sad and mad. I spent 5 years writing it. It's about messy messy things. All my love to the families and friends of the murdered and the many people fighting everyday for Black Lives and to end police brutality.

Judd Apatow stopped in to talk about The Big Sick. An incredible movie, produced by Apatow and written by Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, about the very real story of the beginning of their relationship. They had broken up and she fell into a coma and Kumail met her parents and stayed by her side with them, both supporting Emily and getting to know her parents, all at the same time. It sounds sad and yeah, there are definitely parts that will pull at your heartstrings but it's a comedy. Promise. It's a phenomenally written and acted movie. And if you don't believe me, or Judd, then maybe you'll listen to J.J. Abrams who made a surprise stop in, mid-interview, and raved about it.

I wish I had more time to talk to Judd about the movie and all of the other projects he's involved in but I will take what I can get lol.
