So Far So Good is the first offering from Melbourne based, Perth raised multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Alex Elbery’s forthcoming debut album. A folk song at it’s core, So Far So Good’s more tender moments evoke a melancholic comedy of lost love, time passed and perspective gained; while moving you towards a carefree crescendo of reckless abandon that gently plateaus into a sweet, vulnerable and honest closing verse. Utilizing Elbery’s signature blend of free-flowing emotion, off beat humour and narrative prowess; along with the production of Jon Grace which captures lightning in a bottle, carbonates it and hands it to you with a straw.

Alex Elbery and The Strangers are a Melbourne based outfit centred around enigmatic Western Australian songwriter Alex Elbery. Think Bruce Springsteen meets the Muppets. Or ‘Outback Prince.’ With the lessons learnt from a decade of song writing experience as both leader of Stereoflower and one half (along with Owen Rabbit) of Mulder, Alex and The Strangers have created something that contains both a strange, air of familiarity as well as all the necessary mutations, adaptations and evolutions required to be fit to survive in this unheralded new landscape.
