So I made this track a while back under the influence of Hans Zimmer's Interstellar. I began by experimenting with basic rising chords to illustrate travelling to higher altitudes but quickly gained inspiration on the theme of "passing time" and "exploration". You may be able to tell this from the ongoing few  chords throughout the track that has a "to and fro" connotation to it. The title was obviously inspired by the film and book "The Martian" :) Let me know what you guys think.

The Martian Surface

So I came up with track whilst reading an extremely interesting book called "The Apple Revolution", which highlights how the counterculture of the 60's and 70's paved the way for the technology revolution in Silicon Valley, and how Apple played a major role in the democratisation of the computer: the "personal computer". This track was more or less the soundtrack I could hear in my mind while reading this book that, in my opinion, was filled with epicness!! Free Download - use as you wish (good for a startup video soundtrack) :)
