Alex Esser is a renowned DJ, music producer, and the founder of House Music With Love, a record label and online music platform that has become a go-to destination for house music lovers around the world.

Alex started to DJ in London in his early 20 and slowly has built a reputation as a versatile and innovative DJ, blending different styles of house music to create his unique sound. He has played at some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world, including Culture Box, Klunkerkranich, Fusion Festival, Secret Island Nation, Borderland, Plan B & Club der Visionäre. 

House Music With Love is a Swedish record label that was founded by DJ and producer Alex Esser in 2014. The label has quickly established itself as a key player in the house music scene, with a focus on releasing high-quality, cutting-edge tracks from both established and up-and-coming artists. he platform also hosts a popular podcast series, which features interviews and guest mixes from some of the most exciting artists in the scene.

In terms of the label's artist roster, House Music With Love has released music from a diverse range of talented producers, including Arina Mur, Death On The Balcony, Dear Humans, Dole & Kom, El Mundo & Zazou, Gorge, Josefine Hellström Hansson, Idd Aziz, Marco Tegui, Pablo Bolivar Seba Campos, Tensnake, Urmet K, Wanduta, Weekend Heroes and Wassu.

The label has a reputation for supporting new and emerging artists, and has helped to launch the careers of a number of up-and-coming talents in the house music world.

But perhaps Alex's biggest contribution to the Swedish electronic music scene has been his work as the founder of the Backyard Sessions festival and daytime parties These family friendly daytime events have become legendary in the underground house music community, bringing together DJs, producers, and fans to celebrate the music they love in a relaxed and intimate setting. Through his label, parties, and music, Alex Esser has established himself as one of the most influential figures in Sweden’s electrojic music scene today, and his passion for the music and the community that surrounds it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

I had the pleasure of playing a late-night set at one of Malmö's finest underground spots, hosted by the incredible KatArctic crew. They throw some of the best DIY parties, drawing a beautifully diverse crowd—from early 20s to 60s and beyond. Played a 3 hour set at the top floor. From Sunset to full dancefloor on Saturday night. Was a bit nervous for playing for so long, but in the end it was all fun and freestyle :)

Since I was a kid I’ve always had trouble finding the focus. May it be focus on homework, reading a book or work-related stuff. The only way for me achieve that is through music. By becoming one with repetitive and hypnotic beats, dissolving into the sound, into the subtle dynamics, chanting vocals, high-hats and atmospheres coming and going, layers on top of the deep caressing bass. The music becomes eternal as our world keeps rotating, seconds turn into minutes into hours. One needs to dive deep into the music, embrace it in order to find peace of mind and focus in our everyday physical world.

This tape is made up of 11 tracks, looped, layered and repeated on the go. Most of the time there are at least 3 tracks playing at once. The mission is to create a meditative trance state with beats, loops and patterns, coming and disappearing, sometimes being right in front of you, sometimes just making love in the background. But never disapearing completely.

Surfing for me is the ultimate type of meditation. Bobbing around on my surfboard carefully studying the swell on the horizon, waiting for The Wave to ride. To be in the moment and to focus requires no effort at all, the mind is calm and completely present, there is no future, no past, no disturbing thoughts. I completely loose the concept of time. 

After spending five weeks in a small fishing village (La Caleta) in Tenerife, with a surfboard, my loved ones and no wifi in the house I feel completely rejuvenated and present. Here is Meditape Volume 4 to celebrate the slow come back to the civilizations.
