We're thrilled to have our homeboy back with another stunning EP! Brother Sangeet & hermanito ÜNAM. What a match ufff. You can expect a colorful trip that'll brigthen up your day or night, leaving you with melodies that will stay in your head for days. Sangeet's first production „Anaya“ opens the EP in a steady, trancy rhythm and ethnic atmosphere, followed by „Reckless“ as the leading track, that immediately catches you with it's playful tik tak synth. While „Desert Funk“ comes with a colorful power and carries the typical flavor of a little acid, „Charged“ shines through its strong and relieving energy. The whole piece is additionally spiced up with a ripping remix. 

Hermanito ÜNAM put his unmistakable sound signature in his remix of "Charged" and created a perfectly blending deep mix. The whole EP brings a lot of fun and leads everyone recklessly to the dance floor.

David Rausch & Sebastian Dali - More (Bernstein's Veiled Vision) [trndmsk]

MAUGLI blends vibrant sounds and driving rhythms from all over the globe. With a background as a drummer and of various styles, his genre-bending music blends sampling and recording into a lively collage. His crisp arrangements balance an electronic yet organic feeling.
His debut album “Alba” (translated from Italian as “sunset“) is inspired by traditional music and the dance rituals of various Afro cultures and their diaspora such as capoeira, work songs or gnawa.
While seeking to translate their spirit into the present day, MAUGLI combines these elements with electronic music, wobbling synthesizers and stomping beats.
“Ladainha” is a soulful homage to the capoeira culture featuring Professor Chipreu PDM and "Baksheesh" to the rich American blues tradition, with hypnotic synth riffs and chopped up guitar licks resolving in a south african chant (recorded in the late 1950`s). “Mizan” opens with a pounding Guembri (a traditional gnawa three-stringed lute) accompanied by it’s descendant the ’banjo‘, allowing the sampled berber vocals to shine through.
“Rawa’s” striking guitar riff is set up against biting synth blobs and piano chords, Nigerian fiddles and chants that swing us deeply into the groove.

Next up in the Sinchi series is @RabihRizk who will soon be appearing on the Sinchi label's inaugural compilation release. We're a big fan and excited to hear how his sound and production develops over the coming years. Get to know him via the interview and mix below...

In his own words ' First of all I would I’m really happy to join and be part of Sinchi, as I've been enjoying a lot of their releases. This set is inspired by my latest gig with the Silkroad Sunset team where Slow soothing vibes took place' . 

1) Introduce yourself?

I'm just a 30 years old guy who just got into the music industry 4 years ago and couldn’t be happier about this decision. 

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months? 

Being called to Dubai to close the night after a great musician such as Viken Arman was one of my biggest achievements last winter. 

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year? 

I've been focusing a lot recently on music production, sitting long time in the studio trying to experiment and come up with something new/different and not to just add another track to people’s library. Meanwhile a couple of older projects will be released on Monada Project and Sinchi.
