Maher Daniel has been gaining substantial recognition in the past few years in the techno and house scene.

The San Francisco born DJ and Producer's career career really started to propel when he secured his residency at Montreal at the Stereo Nightclub, opening for some of the most recognized artists including Sasha, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. Since then, and with a move to rapidly ascending dance music center Barcelona in the mix, Maher has released on a who's who of the world best labels, starting with Bedrock and Rejected, moving on to All Day I Dream, Get Physical, Leftroom, My Favorite Robot, and Souvenir, and now gaining significant traction on No. 19 Music.

Needless to say, Maher has also graced the decks of some of the world's finest clubs, venues, and festivals, including Watergate (Berlin), Treehouse (Miami), Creamfields, ADE, Fabric (London), Spybar (Chicago), and the list goes on.

Today, we are proud to present this talented DJs take on deep dub and melodic techno house with the latest instalment in our podcast series. Emotional but powerful. I’m loving these tracks for their very own emotional journey. They brings you from a very sad place to a feeling full of power and energy.

Michael Klein - Live Drawing 2
One of my own experiments let’s me keep continue the vibe and feeling of power and energy from the tracks before. It get’s a little bit more hectic mimicking fast thought processes of sorting data in your mind.

Nosaj Thing - Medic
I have a very personal connection to this track as it was supporting me during the most emotional phase this year. It triggers me to constantly switch between sadness and euphoria because of its frequent back and forth between the harmonic parts and the stripped down atmo.

Echologist - Dirt (Area Elevation Remix)
For the first time i heard this track while being at a Boiler Room event in Berlin. Since than it always reminds me of the power music has on people.

Area - Tangled in 120
When i am low on energy or focus this track brings me back. Amazing energy that just makes me want to close my eyes and stop doing anything else. A very hypnotic and sexy techno track.

Kitkatone - My Mate The President
Loving the percussions of this one. One of the tracks that reminds me about all the facets and effects of techno music.

Rrose - Purge
This one stands for anger. One of these tracks you barely manage to squeeze into a club set because of its complexity and heaviness but for sure great to to support you during a run or workout.

Michael Cleis & Klement Bonelli - Marvinello (Feat. Martin Wilson) (Radio Slave Remix)
For sure there needed to be a super euphoric club tune in here. This one sounds and feels like an amazing well executed club night where everybody is enjoying themselves. But in general i am a big fan of the recent works of Radio Slave so one of them had to make it in here.

As you probably know, Dominik is a renowned Techno Dj with a very impressive resume. This time he decided to share with us his end of the year session catered for the EGLO series. 

The mix provides an unusual musical direction with low and atmospheric soundscapes, with moving and moody grooves that allow the mind to travel through thoughts and memories.

The inspiration for this 3-hour journey is the flora and fauna as a contextual and dramaturgical source. The tonal variation between tracks, the way each is unique in its expression, will create a philosophical journey for each listener. A wonderful treat for this holiday season…

Attempted by so many people vainly, Dominik Eulberg is the one who can claim for himself having reconciled ornithology and techno successfully. Dominik Eulberg, raving ornithologist from the Westerwald is both: an international booked DJ in spotlight and an observer of the domestic Flora and Fauna in quiescence – a master of reconciled contradictions.

Since he released his first disc in 2003 on Traum Schallplatten, the superior producer disperses ecological expertise and the sound of chirping birds in his tracks. He uses nature as a contentual and dramaturgical source of inspiration for his productions since 1993.

A walk in the woods – this is Dominik´s Blueprint for exciting music, because "there you never know what is expecting you behind the next junction". In the forest some rustle in the coppice can turn into a hookline: every single sound is important and endows the tracks with the necessary vitality the dancefloor needs. If minimum or maximum: Not giving a damn, the audience loves extraordinary character as much as a great Basedrum. Combining both, Dominik isn´t held in high esteem - which he usually savours in more blinkered clubs all around the world – wrongly.

"More flesh to the bones", this is his motto. In times of skeletonized diet-techno this is an indispensable estimation more than ever. This is one of the reasons why the DJ, producer and remixer did more than just establishing reputation. Since many years he masters the situationally rocking on 12”-format just as the full-length of an album.

In 2007 Dominik was awarded the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" for his second album "Heimische Gefilde", with which he achieved a lot for the generation-spanning acceptation of techno. It was released on Traum Schallplatten, which is run by its most important patrons Jacqueline and Riley Reinhold. He repeatedly obtained front positions at readers polls of the magazines groove, Raveline and De:Bug. He was even voted for Newcomer and Producer of the year. Also his creations as DJ and his Remixes for various artists such as Hot Chip, DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, Nathan Fake or Roman Flügel were awarded several times.

He will continue to indulge his affectation for more emotionality in the beat-corset in future. The creativity of his musically work will stay complex and innovative, but remains always accessible due to the inherent down-to-earthness. After all one wants to take his audience on a journey, not wanting to ditch it at the ticket counter.

2015 passed so quickly. So many things happened. Received so much love, danced so many parties, met so many wonderful, enlightened people. 

I'd like to thank everyone who shares this passion, this burning fire for music. Especially, I'd like to thank Getting Deeper (my dear Priya), Herztoene, Motek and Andante for the wonderful opportunity to create a journey. 

To my wonderful salascious sounds family too. What a pleasure knowing you! An amazing occasion got to know Uwe and his musical universe too.
