Because of this particular union, Envotion’s creative work is frequently instantiated by triplicity of views on one and the same subject, and you can feel it in the remix Envotion did for Alexey. Hugo, Laurens and Stijn significantly lowered the tempo and moved «All Again» in the direction of progressive combined with cutting-edge nu disco sound with a lot of sunny summer mood inside. Hungarian musician Andor Kovács did a remix under his alias MDK — Andor’s version is, in contrary, more dancefloor-friendly and heavyweight because of broken beats — all together, this is a totally different point of view on «All Again», the label’s followers as well as clubbers and listeners will be able to hear the result very soon.

The Lie

"Talisman" is a driving dancefloor cracker originally coupled with Poison Pro's "Innovate" as part of Proton's VS series (which also gets a full release this summer). As one quarter of the quartet that comprise Intricate Records and with enough bounce to rival the recent tennis at Wimbledon, Alexey Sonar's original was a Beatport Progressive Top 100 best-seller with DJ support to match. As such, "Talisman" now gets the full release and remix treatment.

On the remix front, runner up of the Guy J "Azimuth" remix contest, Silinder, puts in a hypnotic melodic interpretation with the haunting piano riff from the original, centrally underpinning and complementing the remix treatment effortlessly. Watch out for a forthcoming EP of original material from the Dubliner. With recent releases on the Electronic Elements imprint, as part of the Armada stable, Greg Benz, long established doyen of the progressive genre, host of the Auruim show on Proton Radio and Hybridized resident, takes a funky progressive route with a sound palette and layering that makes his work so distinctive.

After previously releasing on labels such as Particles and Stripped, Italian duo Apologist last appeared for Proton towards the end of 2011 with their original track "Flute", remixed by Lank and Bambrook. They make a welcome return here with a typically innovative approach to their craft. Elements of the original take on new meanings within the remix as they intermingle with beats and drones. Finally, with original work on Twisted Frequency in 2011 and a remix on Lowbit in the same year, Proton welcomes newcomer Animesh Barthakur under the moniker Dual Drive. His energetic remix is a peak-time groover that builds to an epic conclusion, full of emotion.

September always signalizes about the beginning of a new club season and naturally following growth of clubbers activities across all events and directions. Alexey Sonar, one of Russia’s night life key flagships, could not stay aside and produced two brand new original works which are already scheduled for a release and are dedicated to the hard daily routine of those fellows involved into entertainment industry. «Guest List» and «Black List» are actually two sides of the same coin, two inseparable attributes of metropolitan city night life, Yin and Yang of every promoter which are so different in their mood but, at the same time, seamlessly and smoothly complementing each other.

«For my next productions, I already had this idea to do something related directly to clubbing theme, to the real deal experience I’m facing in practice on a regular basis, – Alexey Sonar explains. – «Guest List» is a headache for the majority of promoters before the event, because a good party attracts all your friends who’d like to attend it. The disposition of this track is quite clear: summerish, lightweight and engaging. «Guest List» already passed some harsh dancefloor tests on Kazantip this year. «Black List» was born as an antipode. This is a peak time track which I play in the very top moment of my DJ set».

Both «Guestlist» and «Blacklist» by Alexey Sonar are scheduled for a release on Intricate Records in October 2012 and will be available for public on Beatport.

Russia’s Intricate Records may be a relatively new kid on the block when it comes to progressive house labels, but in just 10 releases the stellar supersonic team of Alexey Sonar, PROFF, Sergey Tkachev and Vadim Soloviev have carefully crafted their own new niche for Intricate and demonstrated their outstanding flair for signing magnificent melodic mastery.

For their 11th release, it’s time for renowned Russian DJ/producer and Intricate main man Alexey Sonar to step into the spotlight with a new 2-track EP. Starting the show is ‘Guest List‘, a luminously uplifting gem of melodic prog house with a deliciously deep bassline, luscious warm pads, stylishly sunkissed summer synths, and tantalising topline melodies that blend harmoniously to infuse you with an utterly irresistible, irrepressible inner joy.

‘Black List‘ on the other hand represents the dark side of the force. It starts off on the same innocently uplifting vibe as its castmate, but soon takes you on a rollercoaster ride down a much darker path, a subterranean subversion. With its enthralling electronic edge, this is very Tron and rumbunctiously reminiscent of Daft Punk at their best, but with the added twist of a pulsating progressive heart and an infectiously melodic, moving breakdown. The musical equivalent of the bad boy you just can’t resist, ‘Black List’ is a dynamic, driving, dancefloor bomb of thrills and spills with a heart of gold and a penchant for pure sin.

Alexey Sonar -  is one of the most ideological and active representatives of the Russian club industry, a DJ, a producer, a co-owner and a manager of the labels Intricate Records and SkyTop, the host of the weekly radioshow "SkyTop", and in the past his well known  worldwide radioshow «Asphalt» had been broadcasting for 10 years on the Internet and on FM radiostations in several countries. Today, his name is consistently in the top 5 rank as one of the best progressive house, melodic house & techno DJs in Russia.

As an artist, he regularly takes part in major music events in Russia, including Kazantip, Epizode, and actively travels with performances in Russia and around the world, whether it is the legendary London club Ministry of Sound, Europe or Exotic India, South Africa and Vietnam.

Regads to Alexei’s talents as a booking agent, clubbers of Russian cities, including his native home town Murmansk, were able to see and hear Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Grum, John 00 Fleming, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Gabriel & Dresden, Kolombo, Paul Oakenkefold , Orkidea,  Andy Moor, Cosmic Gate, Serge Devant, and many other artists. The most successful releases of Alexey have recently been released on the home label Intricate Records and have been supported by many top artists worldwide of the dance scene.
