Most of the time, I use Google...but, every once and awhile, I'll use Bing.  

Not sure why I thought any of you would want to know that, but there it is.  

So, I often like to post a pretty or slower song on Sundays--not every Sunday, that's not a thing.  This is, however, one of those Sundays.  

And, if I'm being honest, giving the "Electronic" main tag to this Interbay offering is being rather generous.  Yes, there is a synth.  Yes, I think it'll be pretty obvious that the drums aren't played live by a real life drummer.  But that is pretty much all that is electronic about this one.  (But, when I don't give the Electronic tag to songs, they get heard by far fewer people, I've learned.)  

I apologize to anyone who feels like I've baited and switched them--but I always say that Interbay  isn't any one sound--it can be anything (and often, it feels like it is trying to be ALL the things.)

So, what do we have here?  Well, it is a rather simple song--which suggests that I probably don't have a "Blackbird" in me, as a songwriter/producer.  It focuses on a picked acoustic guitar backed by both a strummy acoustic guitar and a rockin' and rollin' bluesy piano...and drums that sound like someone just hit preset one and let it run.  (Back in the 80s, that felt like a reasonable song crafting option...at least now it sounds a "little" more "realistic" than it did then.)  

Just to be clear, I did NOT just hit preset one and let it run--that was hyperbole to stress how simple I tried to make this track.  However, that goal of simplicity might hide some of the little touches...like the flute that sneaks in.  

And, as I said earlier, there is a prominent enough to be noticed synth part.  There is also part of the song where a Thunderbird-esque bass comes in like Seinfeld's neighbor.  

But mostly, it is a song about a evolving figure of a picked acoustic guitar...and crooning.  

Yeah, somehow, I've managed to make a song featuring elements of five different decades--perhaps that's thematic?  If so, it wasn't intentional.  I was just painting with the colors I thought made sense.  

I don't know if you'll hear this, but occasionally, I'll hear similarity between "Let's Fall In Love" and Declan McKenna's "Brazil"--but that, too, wasn't intentional.  

Are you intrigued?  Well, hit play and give it a listen.  And then compare and contrast THIS track with recent Interbay song drops (that deserve more ears as well.)  Interbay drops a never-before-heard track EVERY SINGLE DAY (so far) and has done so over 470 consecutive days.  (Crazy when even I think about it.)  Some you'll like more than others, but all are definitely (and defiantly) Interbay.
