Nos vamos a Valencia para presentarles el siguiente artista invitado, su nombre es Teo Sánchez (Cabanyal Resistance), y es el encargado de firmar la decimocuarta entrega de nuestra serie de Mixes.

Su andadura musical comienza en el año 1987 cuando a través de la radio descubre la maravillosa década musical de los 80 y el comienzo de la electrónica, dando paso a uno de los sonidos esenciales a día de de hoy como es el New beat, Acid house, Ebm, o el Electro. Influenciado en esta época por bandas como Kraftwerk, Afrika Bambaataa o Juan Atkins.

Su andadura profesional comenzó en el año 93 trabajando en la tienda de discos Alliance Records, a través de la cual comenzaron sus primeras actuaciones. Teo ha colaborado con varios colectivos valencianos promotores de eventos ofreciendo una vertiente mas electrónica (Colectivo de Sushi, Minimalistik Girl e Hypnotica Colectiva) actuando en numerosos eventos y festivales de su ciudad.

Es un lujazo contar con un Podcast suyo por la calidad que desprenden sus sesiones tanto en la mezcla (100% vinilo) como en la selección musical. En sus sets predomina el Electro, aunque en esta ocasión nos ha preparado un mix cargado de Breaks melódico y elegante con un toque de Acid, mezclado a la perfección.

This compilation brings together a variety of approaches of EnDM (electronic non dance music), ranging from ambient, drones, to synthesizer music and even a glimpse of world-music-like sounds.

This is an opportunity for some featuring artists to express a different side of their musical output, while others are exploring these realms more frequently.

Disused Machines is a sub label of Confused Machines, focusing on the playful, experimental, obscure and far out sides of modern electronic music.

The compilation is coming out during a global strange time - the pandemic, global police brutality, black lives matter - and locally for us at Confused Machines home land - a rising wave of protests against a corrupt and collapsing democracy regime and our ongoing struggle against occupation. We wouldn’t like to take the focus away from those important matters, but wish to offer a time-out, and maybe, while exploring new sonic scapes, an option to review these issues from a different angle.
