Haynes started out playing acoustic blues and folk in cafés and bars around the north of England. Following a move to the capital he formed Alex Haynes & the Fever towards the end of 2006, making his debut release with the mini-album ‘Last Train’ in Jan of 2011. Followed up with the album 'Bandit Blues Motel' released Dec '14, and 'Howl' released in Feb '18.

When not playing solo - there is a residency at The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch, London on the 1st and 3rd Monday every month - Haynes performs as Alex Haynes & the Fever, having played across London and the UK, and also Amsterdam, Lille, Vienna and Moscow and trips across Italy, Belgium and Switzerland.

Haynes' song-writing draws influence from old school blues, Sun/Chess-style R&B and Soul and the Brit-Blues of the 60s.
