Alexia Parenzee looks to her cultural heritage and diversity to honour her ancestors through the essence of her music today. Drawing further inspiration from prolific songwriters and soul singers of the 70’s. 

Her debut offering 'Creed and Colour' was recorded as part of WAM’s Sounds of The Mid West compilation. The song pays homage to her African ancestors, weaving their truths into her life and artistry today. 

Alexia is the first in a long line of oppressed black creatives who is able to progress as an artist outside of political-racial boundaries, such as enforced. black slavery and the apartheid, which prohibited many of her family's creatives to succeed as musicians, painters, poets and artists of their time.
