I recently rediscovered this mix from 2021 for a Burning Man livestream during Covid and remember not wanting to post it because of a couple transitions I didn't like in it.  Perfectionism and all.

Re-listening now, this mix now feels like a safe space, a soft landing and a warm hug even if those transitions are still jarring for me.  Sometimes life is jarring, I guess...

Memories

Sometimes years don't go as expected.  This has been one of the craziest paradigm shifts of my life and all I can do is take it one step at a time.  Trying to live in the present with no expectation.... one foot in front of the other is all we can ever really do.

This set is a culmination of that journey so far and I feel if you really listen to the lyrics and emotions brought forth, you can follow the exact journey I have been on.  So many up and downs, twists and turns, loves lost and love found, feelings of being unwanted to feelings of joy.

Monday Morning @ Samsara Festival 2024

It was truly an honor to be asked back to bring up the sun at The Grove Stage for Shambhala's 25th anniversary. 

This one is an open love letter to myself and a very special someone. It was a beautiful morning for me and I just want to say how grateful I am to be able to travel and express myself through my favorite music. Mornings at the Grove Stage will always hold a special place in my heart and all of you make that possible. Thank you <3

I’d also like to acknowledge that I wouldn’t be able to live this life without all the artists that have come before me. Maximum respect to the originators of these styles and sounds. This is black music. Just about everything we know as modern music, electronic or otherwise stems from black and indigenous cultures from around the world. Without these innovators we as djs would have nothing, thank you. And furthermore, a lot of the settings and the way we gather to experience these sounds, from warehouses to festivals and modern club culture was started by the queer community. Thank you for all your inspiration. These cultures and communities have shaped my passions in life and me as a human.

SHAMBHALA 2024 @ THE GROVE

A core memory was playing secret garden in the grove this year.
This was so special and not just because it’s Shambhala, but because I felt so connected to myself and everyone around me in that moment in time.
The improvised nature of this set added to the beauty of it all. I just knew the feeling I wanted to invoke and left it open for exploration. 

3-430am…and it’s as if you can hear the morning light creeping in, exploring many style of music I love within. 
We just vibed out, gettin lost in the music together 🌀🩵 

Curating a space and playing the right music at the right time has always been so important to me and something I really cherish so thank you for feeling me, showing up and bringing the vibes 🫶.
