Meditative & Dreamlike ambient EP blending guitar loops with FM & Semi Modular synth textures.

This debut EP was initially thought as a prelude to my upcoming album released end of 2023 on Shimmering Moods label.

The 2 songs followed a single process which started with field recording during a trip to Northern Germany & Denmark. I then added guitar overdubs to match with the double exposure photographical process that I was experimenting during my trip to Denmark.

One month ago I found this rare italian fm synth from the 80's and got it at a very cheap price (Elka ER33)

A few weeks later a friend told me about his project to create a musician community across the world producing songs on a monthly basis based on field recording samples to be downloaded on their website (Full Orchestra)

I participated for September with this song mainly driven by the ER33 and a sample of children playing football in Barcelona streets.

For this second participation to Full Orchestra project I wanted to multiply massive delay layers after having listened a lot to Basic Channel label. 

It's also been a month full of mixing sessions as I ended mixing my brother's upcoming album and started the process for our future album with Antipodes. Through this track, I wanted to overstate drum compression & distortion with Camel Crusher.

By overusing compression & delay I tried to make noise & textures participate more in the composition following dub techno precepts in another electronic style.

Delayed Channels - Oct23

In November I randomly discovered the song 'Cherish the day' by Sade. '4o4 Choir' started with a trial to mimic the drums' pattern & groove from Sade's track.

It has also been a month of production as we finally ended recording our new album with Antipodes. We ended crafting interludes using the SP404. It made me want to go back to my old 404 sampler in order to destroy this spiritual choir sample from Full Orchestra community.

First track using the mixer from Tascam 424 only for @Full-orchestra sample challenge using Matriarch, Digitakt and Elka ER33;
A bit rough and blurry tune using the werp sample machine from the Elektron Digitakt on the space probe original sample. It gives interesting glitchy textures in my opinion.
