Next up we have a synth slayer born and raised in Leipzig. Finding himself among people in the local Techno scene that had a more honest and sincere approach to treating each other caused him to not only grow as a human but also had a massive impact on his musical preferences. 

In 2014, after some years on the dancefloors and a head full of amazing music, he and a friend decided to give it a try and began making some techno on their computers. After he played around with his first synthesizer, he fell completely for the world of electronic music and making music began to be a big part of his everyday life. Since then, He is constantly experimenting with new gear, software and sound processing approaches. 

Last year his approach changed from his usual tangled computer workflow he went to his now tried-and-trusted powerhouse: the Octarack. 
DUSK163 is only his third live set (with his second being last weekend at Cosmic Voyage) but what a stunning performance it is, using the Electribe & Digitone in cohesion with the Octatrack to guide you through a vast amount of soundscapes and rhythms which pay homage to all the different kinds of music and influences he likes to incorporate into his work.

Intergalactic Rhythms for GfzK Sommerfest - DJ Unisex 15.07.22

The 7th edition in the Exit Planet Earth vinyl series features another serving of electronic cuts designed for space travel with 20/20 Vision debuts from The Exaltics & Paris The Black Fu, Alex Jann, Lost Souls of Saturn and Kim Cosmik. 

Opening with an interstellar serving of classic electro funk from the pivotal figurehead of Germany's electro-tipped underground ‘The Exaltics’ of ‘SolarOneMusic’ and ‘Paris The Black Fu’ from the mighty ‘Detroit Grand Puhbas’. 

This heavy weight collaboration comes in the form of ‘wea poni zedin form ation’ a masterclass in acid-influenced and undoubtably charismatic electro, complete with distinctive Kraftwerk-esque vocals. Alex Jann follows up on the A side with ‘Android Memory’ combining bleep techno elements with futuristic electro in an expertly crafted high paced does of sci-fi funk peppered with chaotic glitches, driving grooves and punchy kicks. 

On the flip side we’re joined by Seth Troxler and Phil Moffa under their inter dimensional moniker ‘Lost Souls Of Saturn’. L.S.O.F offer up a mind altering hybrid of sci-fi inspired electronica, techno, electro, acid, free-jazz and more, blurring genre lines and pushing boundaries deep into the cosmos. Under-pinned by a predominately break beat groove ‘Rave is Back’ incorporates a plethora of un expected elements, from orchestral drones and harmonic melodies to unidentifiable machine glitches. 

Wrapping up the 7th outing in the Exit Planet Earth vinyl series, we’re joined by long-time purveyor of UK Electro - 
Cybersoul’s ‘Kim Cosmik’, firing on all cylinders with a tripped out assault on the senses. Her track ‘Moonrise’ hammers home with a fast paced, glitch heavy groove, serving up complex patterns across an ominous soundscape littered with ghost like echoes.

Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here: www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/

FRANCOIS DILLINGER glides between the two worlds of electro and techno. His journey through the genres is dark while retaining a mercilessly intelligent, dancefloor-oriented quality. His Live & DJ sets lean heavily into the generation of hypnotic loops, creating long protracted mixes between elements of unshakeable tension. As a former promoter, long-time performer, and supporter of the scene – he’s been a part of the Detroit underground for over 20 years. Over the last few years, DILLINGER has released four albums across Diffuse Reality, Specimen Records, International Chrome and EC Underground. He was featured on several compilations, most notably on Planet E’s Detroit Love series, while over 30 artists remixed his tracks including the likes of Keith ‘K1’ Tucker, Detroit’s Filthiest, Jensen Interceptor, Luxus Varta and others. DILLINGER also hosts MINDFRAME, a monthly residency on Detroit’s Deep Space Radio that features guest performances from across the global electro scene. Support for his music continues from the likes of Dave Clarke and Richie Hawtin; with his LP under the alias ‘The Thousand Order’ was named as Best New Electronic Music by Bandcamp in 2022. FRANCOIS also continues his work with Detroit-based art collaboratives Missing Faces and 313[030] projekt, creating immersive A/V installations with shows planned across Detroit, Berlin and beyond.

In this mind-bending release, DILLINGER delves into the very consciousness of computers from a forgotten era of technology. The journey begins with "Plato IV", a provocative track that beckons the listener to plug in and enter the program. But beware, for the next step leads you down a dark and treacherous path.

 

In "CYBIS", DILLINGER unleashes a nightmare of minimalistic code and forgotten disk space, threatening to rip the user into bits through the brutal defragmentation process. Brace yourself for a descent into madness, as all connection to reality is lost and your identity is submerged in the cold embrace of circuitry.

 

But the madness doesn't end there. In "RankTrek", the programs will take hold, and you are forced to give in completely to their demands. Your mind becomes one with the machine, as you surrender all control and are dragged deeper into the abyss.

 

Finally, in "Votrax", your assimilation is complete. You have become one with the machine, your identity lost forever in the cold, metallic embrace of technology. Prepare to journey beyond the bounds of human consciousness, for once you enter the world of Votrax, you may never return again...
