Great stories bring people together and can have the power to shift people's realities. A British songwriter whose interests lie in classic poetry and 70s fashion, Alex Kate immediately asserts herself as a storyteller to be heard.
Fusing retro drums with ethereal vocals, Alex Kate creates lyrical journeys to inspire, consol or to challenge the status quo.
After years of writing and feeling inspired by UK artists, she takes the plunge and starts her solo project. In 2021 she released her first EP called Call Me Human, and it was well received:
Le Futurewave described it as “[her] stories are compelling and connect easily with listeners.” Clout Magazine: “an encouraging first look at the personality and charm that her sound possesses” and “one of the most interesting and addictive singles I've heard lately” YMX

She hopes to create worlds with her songs where people can be inspired, gain solace and get lost in. She is working on her next EP and recently made the most of being in Cape town where she filmed her upcoming music videos. She is planning on playing more gigs around London where she lives, the next step is to tour around the UK for 2022.
