This track  was meant to be titled ‘Ambient House”,  but as the pop worked, the work popped…I am so grateful for all the plays, likes and comments this track has gained and I would like to thank you all, individually, but my health  is not good and I must focus my waning energy on important tasks like breathing and keep myself from becoming another extinct life form like the dodo bird. Inspired by the short story "The Brick Moon," the first tale of a man-made satellite or space station, "A Brick Moon," combines a driving beat reminiscent of The Chemical Brothers with an experimental blend of real and synthetic sounds.

The track opens with a figure shared by a piano and a Roland 303, which then takes the lead in a squelchy, turntablist-like solo. For the chorus, the piano and bass unite in an undulating riff, contrasting a massive cascading bass synth line and a soaring trumpet. Strings lead the second verse, and the final verse showcases a haunting call and response between the piano and strings.

"A Brick Moon" highlights Swerdna's unique ability to blend synths, drum machines, live instruments, and samples into intricate, experimental textures and tapestries.
