A driving low end, lush emotional pads, and some absolutely showstopping moments made this one of the releases we were most excited about but were forced to delay until live shows were possible again as this is most certainly a track that needs to be heard on a proper system to appreciate its visceral power. Legendary German techno duo Pan-Pot announce their brand-new project ‘FORTE’, a collection of ten singles. Each track presents individually, each telling their own unique story influenced by the duo’s ever-evolving sound over the years - something that has kept them perpetually current. The culmination also marks a milestone 20th anniversary for the duo, serving as a resounding reminder of why they have been at the forefront of the scene for over two decades.

’FORTE’ meaning strong, translates all the good and bad times we have had, in a way that reflects on our sound. It's a journey of reflection, reinvention, and inspiration from our travels around the world and the people we have met along the way. The tracks emulate the past, present, and future, in a range of styles, but most importantly they are all tracks which we love and enjoy playing. Having thawed the winters chill with his Elements EP earlier this year, SCI+TEC regular Alex Mine returns to warm our bones with his Time Lapse EP, and fresh from being selected as one of the key artists to feature on the label’s 10 Years of SCI+TEC compilation with his ’Name Of What’ track, the Italian promptly delivers a fresh and weighty new four track selection. 

The title track leads the EP with its huge kick, echoing vocal spikes and synth chords to create a tense but electrifying atmosphere. ‘Egoes’ follows, pushing the tempo with its tight groove and frenzied acid line to create a powerful dancefloor moment. 

From that piercing peak to the dreamy depths of ‘Forth Dimension’ and its delicate, inviting bassline and simple melody. A soothing slice and one that readies us for the rugged tribal stomp of the brilliant and elegantly twisted closer, ‘Krantor’.

In the first of our bubblejam live series, we kick things off with the label boss himself Jon Connor 


From the starry-eyed hedonism of Welsh free party culture in the 1990s to the new frontiers of Eastern Europe’s burgeoning dance scene, few DJs can lay claim to the pedigree and passion of Jon Connor. A talent as raw as the tougher end of the techno he has played and produced for the last two decades, physical mixing, a constant forward momentum, and an unashamed focus on starting parties are cornerstones of a career that has spanned the rise, fall, and resurgence of the global electronic phenomenon. 

Supertech founder, Bubblejam label bossman, universally respected underground player, and dedicated disciple of the true school of turntablism, his story leaves ego and arrogance in the cloakroom, and places the focus where it should be- music- with sweat saying far more than cliched words ever could. In an age of marketing fakery and artists as brands, Connor’s attitude remains rooted in old-school rave principles, while his sounds sit on the cutting edge of fast noise. Enough said, he’ll see you down the front.
