TEMPERAMENTAL CLUB SOUND kicks of with a multilayered five track EP by co-founder Malugi. Picking up on the energy-driven and fun-loving sound he is best known for, Malugi proposes an idiosyncratic take on various styles of dance music: Ranging from UK Techno to Electro to Jersey Club, he showcases an open-minded approach towards music that is prone to exhilarate joy.

Throughout the EP, he upholds a distinct pop sensibility, creating music that resonates in an almost visceral bodily experience — a phenomenon commonly referred to as the Malugi effect. While he dips his toes into a wide array of influences, one common denominator remains: A strong commitment to cater to the highly intensive and universally longed-for corporeal pleasures of the dancefloor.

Vernacular Records is glad to announce the second opus of its series “Vernacular Fields” which aims to associate singular musical projects with the work of Franco-Armenian photographer Sarkis Torossian.

This second release, called Life Artefacts, is the first solo EP by Vernacular head Soul Edifice (FR). It’s a 4 tracks EP which oscillates between all his inspirations, recalling the different energies of his last releases and Dj sets. From Four to the floor Club Tracks to High Energy Jungle through Epic Breakbeats, this first solo EP is an hyper effective dance EP, however a concentrate of subtle production and sound design.

We're proud to renew our collaboration with Sarkis Torossian on this second EP's artwork. His work combines multiples art techniques, from taking and developing analogue photos of landscapes, to a whole transformation process on the image including digital treatment, precise ink-mixing resulting in stunning, handmade monochromic prints.

As for the first opus, it's a limited series of 50 physical objects including:
- a unique visual made, print & numbered by hand by Sarkis Torossian
- a USB stick including Soul Edifice - Life Artefacts EP and a digital file of the artwork
All inserted in a 10” vinyl cover. The EP will also be available in digital format on our Bandcamp.

Carved out of the deep underbelly of driving electro, beautiful landscapes come to the surface in this 8 track journey Influx EP by DJ .wav. 
The turbulence of rumbling yet metered rhythms and ice-sharp staccato basslines, layered with FM-synth pads, are only just some of the blended elements this artist, who has released on the labels a friend in need and Special Species Records. The release, by German-based label Too Rough 4 Radio’s Rough Cuts 04, captures club energy with joint forces in moody electro bliss for effective dance floor.

Withholding a strong base of electro-leaning burners across the Influx EP, DJ .wav brings in acid dominance with “Converge,” and the result is an aggressive mind bender. Just when the acid resonance peaks, an aggressive electro bassline jumps in with headbanging prowess, and reaffirms the strength of DJ wav’s versatility in this EP on the German-based label Too Rough 4 Radio’s Rough Cuts 04.
