In seiner Heimat Großbritannien ist Shootingstar Tom Odell bereits in der Riege der ganz großen Singer/Songwriter angekommen - seine Ballade "Another Love" erreichte auf Anhieb die Top Ten der UK Single Charts und sein Debütalbum "Long Way Down" schoss sensationell von null auf eins der britischen Verkaufshitliste. Zuvor war der 22-jährige Sänger und Pianist mit dem BRITs' Critics Choice Award ausgezeichnet worden, den er aus den Händen von Vorjahres-Preisträgerin Emeli Sandé entgegen nehmen konnte.

Hierzulande erhielt Odell Karriere-Starthilfe vom Telekommunikations-Riesen Telekom Deutschland. "Another Love" war die Kampagnen-Musik für den TV-, und Online-Spot des Unternehmens, der ab Ende Mai überall zu sehen war. Die Folge: "Another Love" kletterte in den deutschen Charts bis auf Platz elf, rangiert
seit 22 Wochen in der Media Control Hitliste, verkaufte sich bislang mehr als 150.000 Mal und erreichte damit Goldstatus! In den Airplaycharts hält sich die wunderbare Ballade bereits seit 34 (!) Wochen. Das Album "Long Way Down" schoss auf Platz siebzehn in die deutschen Charts und war zehn Wochen in den Top 100 gelistet. Jüngst begeisterte der junge Brite die Zuschauer des SWR3 "New Pop" Festivals in Baden-Baden und beim NDR2 "Soundcheck Neue Musik" Festival in Göttingen.

Nun liegt der Song in einem schicken Remix des deutschen DJs Zwette vor, der den Song zufällig im Radio gehört hatte. Der aufstrebende Produzent, ein alter DJ-Hase im Clubzirkus Mitteldeutschlands, zauberte aus dem romantischen Slowie eine tanzbare Clubversion unter Verwendung von Odells wunderbaren Vocals, dem unverwechselbarem Klaviersound und dezenten Beats.
