Alf Bamford returns under his tech-trance moniker ‘Ikorus’ to give us yet another blinding EP that is set to cement his new project’s name in stone as a very exciting and forward-thinking project, one that all trance lovers should be keeping their eyes on! He kicks off the EP with ‘Rocketshock’ which instantly reminded us of Igor S ‘Boomerang’ and other tracks in that true tech-trance style. It builds and builds into an absolute dancefloor wrecker, with only subtle hints of melody after the drop, the track is all about the kick & gnarly grooving synth basslines. Next up is ‘Nitro’ which is a lot more of a melodic and ‘uplifting’ affair, but still hits hard in all the right places. With a very warm sounding and lush breakdown, huge soaring leads and really great drop this is a great asset to this EP. There is still a lot more to come from Ikorus, it’s time to start supporting one of trance-land’s newest names!

Being one of the absolute highlights on the forthcoming Subculture The Residents: Volume Two, Giuseppe Ottaviani's Crossing Lights is one of those tracks which stands out by sheer originality. Finding his inspiration after actually sampling the crossing lights when on tour in Australia, Giuseppe created a techtrance tune which brings out the tougher side of the Italian maestro. Though resonating some of the classic techno in its production, Crossing Lights is a track for the here and now. Essential.

Leeds based brotherly duo Stuart and Ben Turner has burst onto the scene in the past 18 months, and their tough tech-trancer Knightfall rises as a contender for one of the anthems of 2015.

Striking a chord with Markus Schulz with their previous effort Blackgate, the Arkham Knights were invited to contribute something exclusive to the Coldharbour boss' Ministry of Sound Trance Nation CD.

Not only does it play a starring role on the compilation, but has been an ever-present in Markus' livesets since summer's tail-end. Matching a euphoric melody with menacing percussion, Knightfall lands perfectly for the winter season.
