This mix is a beautiful representation of his sound, a melancholic, textural journey, driven by deep, hypnotic rhythms and floating in blissed out space.

Born and raised in Patras, Greece, Alex’s (@alexskyspirit) career as a DJ started at 18 when his own party series, Cube. It’s been four years since. Today, he is steadily getting himself into production, experimenting with sounds that combine minimal melodies with energetically driving drum rumbles, distorted textures, cinematic pads, and a subtle touch of psychedelia.

D. Humo considers himself, first and foremost, a record collector who likes to share his collection with the audience telling them different tales depending on the mood and location. He has been doing it for more than fifteen years and this has allowed him, among other projects, to bring his sets to the main clubs in Barcelona and different events in northern Spain as well as Europe (yes, also in Berlin …).

His preferences in terms of styles could be defined as a continuous search for everything between techno and ambient and, for some time now he has been seen to be very comfortable doing sessions based solely on the latter, especially when he chooses the most deep, tribal and sometimes experimental sounds.

A sample also of his great love for this wide musical universe is his radio show "Escala de Grisos", in a local radio station. There, he presents a large part of his collection along with some of the novelties of that moment on a monthly basis.

To record this set, David envisioned a round-trip ton a boat to Jeju Island without losing sight of the kind of music usually released by Oslated and Huinali in honor of his host.

Bio:

Alessio Greco is an Italian musician, composer and live performer. His musical career began in 2001 when he started playing the drums in a punk/hardcore band. After the broke up, he approaches to electronic music and more particularly to ambient, drone and techno. Around the same time he studied electronic music composition at the Music Academy "O. Respighi" in Latina.
