Alex a.k.a The Wall is a DJ based in Sao Paulo - Brazil. His relationship with music has started early, before his 10's: "I clearly remember when I got my first album, Michael Jackson - Thriller. I was like 8 years old and loved to dance 'moonwalk' or 'beat it' steps for the whole family".

The next step was to play bass guitar in a school band when he was 14 years old. Rock n' roll was the tone, from heavy to progressive. Others influences from pop to classical also tempered his music taste and repertory since the beginning.

First contact with underground dance e-music was quite late, in 2001 influenced by his friends. Either raving on Circuito Techno or clubbing at Lov.e, he experienced several collective catharses on dance floor with DJs and producers like Richie Hawtin, Mau Mau, Chris Liebing, Scan X, Laurent Garnier, Murphy, Vince Watson, Funk D'void, Marco Carola, Vitalic, Technasia, Renato Cohen, Anthony Rother, Miss Kittin and The Hacker, Slam, Christian Smith, DJ Rush, and so many others.

Start to mix records in 2005 was a natural consequence. He embraced his DJ “free time” career with discipline and passion, and later on has studied music production in order to improve his DJ technique. "I've always been fascinated by the amazing atmosphere a few DJs were able to create in the dance floor, mixing tracks that I have never heard before, so I'm constantly pursuing it".

Long and precise mixes are his trademark, and the atmosphere of his dj sets came from dirty, groovy, old school and emotional techno, sometimes explosive, other times melodic. "I do play & mix records aiming dance floor, so my priority is to make people dance and surprise them with unexpected or unknown tracks." 

Some of his mixes also flirt with deep house and jazz's strings, and can be easily listened relaxing in sofa.
