Where to begin? Well, we guess in the mid 90’s! That’s when these tunes where made, all live and without any computer. It’s the magic of the Roland TB 303 and TR 808. „Dry ray“ was first released in 1995 on Drop Bass Network, then rereleased in 2020 on Furthur Electronics and has now finally brought home on the producers label, Morris Audio run by Stefan Riesen. But „Dry ray“ has also been the opening track on Richie Hawtin’s Mixmag Live CD! So being a fan of Richie and also his Plastikman project back in the days, the idea came to release some of these old Acid tunes and celebrate the beauty of the 303 and 808.

Underground System returns to @razor-n-tape with the ‘Looking In EP’ -  a 5-track offering of fresh originals and remixes. Ranging from low-slung Balearic grooves, to driving left-field funk and urgent up-tempo backbeats, the record is a fine-tuning of the US sound, complete with their signature flute and synth soundscapes, driving percussion, and catchy offbeat vocal hooks. On the B-side, RNT mainstays Nenor and Clive From Accounts take two of the tunes into clubbier territory, with a pair of remixes that are primed for the dance floor.
